Feb 2008 – Till Date

Description: This project is to process VOIP orders from customers. A BizTalk application processes the VOIP orders. This application is exposed as a Webservice to external client. The application validates order, maps input data to order schema and inserts to database. The trading partner updates the status of order in the database at regular interval. The BizTalk application uses SQL adapter for database connectivity. Responsibilities: • Responsible for analysis, designing, developing the application, creating helper classes, testing, interacting with users, debugging, configuring, database connectivity and deployment. • Actively participated in project meetings and directly reporting to Project manager.

Oct 2006 – Feb 2008

Description: The telephone number porting refers to the ability to transfer either an existing fixed-line or mobile telephone number assigned by a local exchange carrier (LEC) and reassigns it to another carrier. The number porting orders come as a bulk flat file and BizTalk splits that into multiple orders. Each order undergoes portability check and serviceability check before sending to different carriers. This order is then send to the number porting API. BizTalk receives responses from the API asynchronously. This application uses File, SQL, HTTP, SOAP, FTP and CICS adapter. The application uses custom pipeline to log both inbound and outbound messages. The responses are stored in Database using SQL adapter. SMTP adapter is used to send mails, if there are some connectivity issues or exceptions from trading partners. Responsibilities: • Was solely responsible for requirement analysis, design, developing, creating helper classes, unit testing, client interaction, debugging, database and deployment. • Actively participated in client and internal meetings.

• •

There were FTP, web, SOAP, WSE 3.0, HTTP, File and MTOM messages. WSE 3.0 enhancement is used throughout in this project to secure the messages published as Web services. BizTalk system acts as a middleware and all messages passes through it. It does the validation, security check, construction and transformation of the incoming messages to required output format and finally updates the destination system Database. Middleware sends the response back as response to the caller and logs Soap error to the event viewer or sends a negative acknowledgement. The BizTalk system uses certificates to identify the caller and secure the connection. Responsibilities: • Involved in almost all the aspects of this project and did R&D on WSE3.0 compatibility with BizTalk 2006 and WCF. • Actively participated in design meetings and daily project meetings.
