My experience in the Office Administrative field • I’ve worked 18 years for Time

Warner Cable • The first 13 years, I’d started working as a mailroom clerk • The next 4 ½ years I’ve done Data entry

My Beginning Years • I had my first summer job back in the

summer of ’79 when I was only 16. • I was a day camp counselor for 2 summers in a row, and I established a good relationship with all the children • By the summer of 1981, I’ve had my first office job at 18 as an office clerk for the City Sheriff's Office. • By the following year, after graduating high school, I’d also took on another summer job working as a mailroom clerk at Baruch College

The training school, and the temp job assignment years • By the fall of 1982 thru August 1984, I’ve

attended Contemporary Guidance Service where I began to take up all the basic job training, such as office, and mailroom. • Spring of 1983, I’d took on a temp assignment as a tenant patroller for the NYCHA while still going to school, and still living in the projects. • By August 1984 thru December 1985, I’d left CGS and started working. I went through various temp agencies. They sent me through various job locations.

The Pre-Time Warner Cable Period • Summer of ’84, my first job was working

for Brownstone Studio. It only lasted 3 weeks. • Between October ’84 Thru April ’85, I was working through two different temp agencies; Manpower, and Office Force. • And from May ’85 Thru December ’85, I became a messenger at Export Messenger Service.

The Mailroom Years at Time Warner Cable • December 1985, I started my career at

Time Warner Cable where I began working in the mailroom, as a messenger, and mail clerk. • I’ve all kinds of tasks there such as sorting and delivering mail all over the entire office. • I’d stamped, and sealed all the letters, and packages through the postage meter, and took them all to the post office. • I’d also did some outside, and interoffice messenger work.

Multi-Task Training • Throughout my mailroom years, I’d often

train new co-workers on how to handle all kinds of mailroom tasks. • I’d also help out the shipping department, such as delivering office supplies to all the departments. • I’ve done some answering phone work, and take down messages, and worked on the fax machines.

The Data Entry years • In February ’99, I landed a position as a

Data Entry Clerk. • I did a lot of keypunching, such as entering information into the computer, updating data, filing, answering phones, and take messages. • I also did some work in the shipping department, such as sending out, and receiving packages.

The School years • In the fall of 1990, I’d started taking office classes at Baruch College • By the spring of 1991, I’d start taking all computer classes at Berkeley College. • By the spring of 1998, I’ve earned my certificate in taking a course in Software Management. • By the Spring of 2000, I’ve earned my Associates Degree in Office Systems Management.

My Future Goals • My short-term goals is to land a

position in the media industry doing basic office, and data entry work, while working my way through getting my Bachelors Degree in Marketing. By my main goal is to work my way up to getting a position in the Sales & Marketing department as either a staffing assistant, or as a sales & marketing associate.
