Assemble 25 rhythms according to the current focus Project these on the board Provide each student/pair of students with a student’s grid Have students choose nine rhythms from the teacher’s grid and write one into each of their square in “Game #1” Teachers chooses an order in which to play through the rhythms in the Teacher’s Grid (but does not disclose this) and proceeds to do this, playing each rhythm twice Students listen to the rhythm and check it against the Teacher’s Grid, then look to see if they have it written down. If they have, they put a small cross in the corner of the square with a different coloured pen (important for checking later) First student to match three rhythms in a row gets three points, next gets two, next gets one, then start a new game
