Job purpose: Provide business support towards the international Finance & Risk community on the two common solutions, being PeopleSoft and Solaris. Next to providing typical (ITIL based) business functional support the job holder is also ensuring that the regional processes and core solutions will be preserved. Therefore the jobholder is also skilled in business analysis; the translation of business requirements into specifications that will enable the development of systems.
Key responsibilities/Accountabilities The solutions in scope are business critical from a Group and Regulatory reporting perspective for the Finance International Region. In addition they are business critical in all participating countries for facilitation of claims and commission payment process; 1. Business Consultancy
Analyses and documents business requirements (business rules and processes) with users; recommends the best solving solution; Translates requirements into application functional design, provide documentation according to company standards and give support to software engineers during development activities; Identify IT architectural impact from functional point of view at application level; analyze and align with IT for the best solution, following IT architecture; Monitor and evaluate user requests for enhancement, NN International Core Model modifications and potential change requests. Perform feasibility and reasonability analyses on request and assign to them a priority level. Implement enhancements in accordance to NN International’s business approach, business requirements, and systems design. Carries out functional activities as part of a system development process (e.g. designing, testing) within constraints of time, money and quality; Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements. Initiate, monitor and recommend actions on appropriate patches, upgrades or new releases.
2. Support activities
Provide support to user inquiries on applicable system processes. Research and follow-up on complicated problems or questions in a timely manner, accordingly to the service level agreement. Resolve problems, document solutions and communicate resolutions to appropriate parties. Maintain and control Finance Master Data, Chart of Accounts (CoA) and NN International Core Model data (one common set of principles for Finance) and appropriate configuration.
Monitor & maintain Period-End Close processes by: (1) validating interface runs, (2) support reconciliation between sub-ledgers and the GL and (3) resolving errors. Actively support business with relevant process improvements. Ensure the integrity of the delivered solutions, both internally and by third parties in the IT architecture Transfers products support activities out of the project organisation to allocated departments; Monitor, recommend and support implementation of upgrades, patches and new releases; Reports status on periodical and ad-hoc basis; Ensures effective communication between all relevant parties (users, IT organisation, outsourcing parties) in an international and multi-legislation environment. Maintain the connection between business departments, local IT and external suppliers of IT solutions Ensure that technical solutions are delivered by suppliers in accordance with the requirements specified by users and in line with NN International standards. Initiate, contribute, make recommendations and execute quality assurance activities.
3. Knowledge management
Maintain up-to-date knowledge on system capabilities, including upgrades and new releases. Contribute to internal knowledge database accordingly with our internal standards. Delivers assigned products and documents as part of project, maintenance or support activities like functional specification documents, test specifications; Adheres to corporate and specific standards and policies (regarding development tools, methodologies, security, etc.);
4. Testing activities
Prepares, plan, performs and document functional acceptance testing; Supports users in the preparation, executing and evaluation of acceptance testing;
5. Training
Prepare, update and maintain all related training documentation. Offer “refresher” training on old course topics as required and create and deliver training or communication on enhancements regarding system functionalities. Maintain an acceptable knowledge level of system processes by continuing an ongoing education on these topics. Plan, execute and reviews development of professional skills and competencies.
6. Administrative / Communication
Is capable of operating in a virtual team / multi-location team setup (requiring a highly independent and mature working attitude). Team work oriented focused on customer needs in accordance with NN business principles
7. Labor security Shall be bound to comply with the provisions of Law no. 319/2006 on labor security and health.

Job requirements
Education University degree – preferably Computer Science
Relevant expertise: At least 3 - 5 years in a similar position Good business knowledge in financial process area; Good knowledge on Service Management, IT minimum standards and relevant financial compliance procedures.
Special knowledge: PC knowledge – advanced (Microsoft Office, Power Point, Outlook, Ms Visio) Very good knowledge on PeopleSoft, Solaris and related systems (ETL, TopDesk) Good knowledge of MS SQL / queries. Ability to use design tools Experience in process mapping and use-case driven design techniques Knowledge on (relation with) source systems Knowledge on relevant data models English language – advanced (speaking and writing) Certifications:
ITIL (required)
PMP/Prince2 (it’s a plus)

Specialization levels:
Junior:
After approximately six to twelve months of becoming familiar with the working regulations and procedures, covers all the activities set out above, except business analysis activities, requiring direct guidance and supervision of a senior or direct supervisor.
Specialist:
Performs his/her activity with a good independence degree and only requires the supervision of a senior or direct supervisor in case of more complex tasks. Covers all the activities set out above.
Senior:
Covers all the above mentioned activities and in particular those with a high complexity level. Shows a high action and decision-making independence degree. Performs quality assurance on activities carried out by the team. In addition is key adviser to the Head of Support on functional and technical changes to the (core) solution, preserving system stability and maintenance cost. Only requires the validation of the general lines of action. Shows initiative and is involved in the working processes optimization.
