Performance Title: Open Mic with April B. Date: March 21, 2017 Time: 9pm Location: Gottrocks Greenville, SC Performers and Instruments: April Bennett, American Evil April Bennett opened the show with an original song of her titled “Glass Ceilings.” She played accompanied herself on guitar during her set. Her first song was an uplifting song with a reggae beat. The next song she played was a titled “Stella.” It was a blues song that she said she wrote about her mother. One interesting part of the show was the band American Evil’s acoustic performance of their songs “Slide Right In” and a “Evil Things.” They are five piece hardcore band from Pennsylvania. Since they could not play with their normal two guitar, bass, and drum kit setup, they played with two acoustics guitars, a bass, and a djembe that was borrowed from another performer.
