Objective I want to share the joy and wonder I feel as I discover mathematics in all the natural world. Specifically, I wish to overcome the apprehension mathematics engenders in others.

Education BS in Mathematics, Cum Laude, minor in Physics Univ. of CO at Denver (UCD) 5-2000. MS in Applied Mathematics, with Computational Biology Certificate, UCD 12-2007. Master's Thesis compared the mechanical properties of spider silks with their amino acid sequences and modeling their stress strain curves. Special emphasis: algorithms, optimization, biophysics, biostatistics, computational biology, mathematical methods in the physical systems, continuous modeling, continuum mechanics, SAS, R, Perl, C++, MATLAB, and LaTeX.

Assisted biologists and chemists in the development of K12 E Coli strains which contain the genes necessary for chemical production and associated chemical tolerance. Served as a facilitator between the Laboratory scientists and Computer Scientists.
