For thou knowest not what a day may bring forth: James Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and 4:13 continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: James Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is 4:14 even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. James For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. 4:15 James But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. 4:16 Parable about the rich fool who boasted about tomorrow. Luke And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man 12:16 brought forth plentifully: Luke And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room 12:17 where to bestow my fruits? Luke And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and 12:18 there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. Luke And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; 12:19 take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. Luke But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: 12:20 then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? Luke So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God. 12:21

Tomorrow is like a womb. Only God knows what is tomorrow is going to bring fourth. Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips. For men to search their own glory is not glory. Galatians For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth 6:3 himself. Whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. Proverbs Put not forth thyself in the presence of the king, and stand not in the place of 25:6 great men: Proverbs For better it is that it be said unto thee, Come up hither; than that thou 25:7 shouldest be put lower in the presence of the prince whom thine eyes have seen.

Proverbs It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not 25:27 glory. A parable of a self righteous man: Luke And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they 18:9 were righteous, and despised others: Luke Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a 18:10 publican. Luke The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not 18:11 as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. Luke I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 18:12 Luke And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto 18:13 heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. Luke I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for 18:14 every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; but a fool's wrath is heavier than them both. If you have a fool angry with you, you are in trouble, because a fool has no discretion. He will say and do anything. We are warned in scripture not to be in the place of that fool. I John For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one 3:11 another. I John Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore 3:12 slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

Proverbs If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is 29:9 no rest. Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy? Joseph brothers sold Joseph into slavery because of their intense jealousy. Genesis And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his 37:4 brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. James But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not 3:14 against the truth. James This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 3:15 James For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. 3:16 Open rebuke is better than secret love. Being reproved openly is better than being loved in secret. brother. Matthew But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the 18:16 mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. Matthew And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect 18:17 to hear the church, let him be unto thee as a heathen man and a publican. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. It is a wonderful thing to have a friend who will call attention to your faults in a helpful and loving way. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; Psalm Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it 141:5 shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities. but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. Luke And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them 22:45 sleeping for sorrow, Luke And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. 22:46 Luke And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of 22:47 the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him. Luke But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss? 22:48 The prophecy of Judas: Psalm For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither 55:12 was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him: Psalm But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance. 55:13 Psalm We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company. 55:14 Psalm Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness 55:15 is in their dwellings, and among them. Pr 27:8
There will be a famine in the land: Matthew For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there 24:7 shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. And that famine will be the lack of our daily bread, the word of God. There will be a spiritual famine. And when people are hungry, they will eat anything. Even the big lie: II Thessalonians For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth 2:7 will let, until he be taken out of the way. II Thessalonians And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume 2:8 with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: II Thessalonians Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power 2:9 and signs and lying wonders, II Thessalonians And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; 2:10 because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. II Thessalonians And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they 2:11 should believe a lie: II Thessalonians That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had 2:12 pleasure in unrighteousness. We should hunger and thirst after righteousness: Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so is a man that wandereth from his place. Instability is not a good characteristic trait. Hebrews Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing 13:9 that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. God, in his providence, has appointed man, just like the bird, a place fit for us; but men become unsettled and love to wander. I Timothy For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing 6:7 out. I Timothy And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 6:8 I Timothy But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many 6:9 foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. God gave Solomon more that any man, and he still was not content and started to wander:
I Kings But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of 11:1 Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites; I Kings Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye 11:2 shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love. I Kings And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and 11:3 his wives turned away his heart. Pr Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a man's friend by hearty 27:9 counsel. Our words should be like the river in Isaiah 47 that brings life to everything it touches. Proverbs The words of a man's mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of 18:4 wisdom as a flowing brook. Pr Thine own friend, and thy father's friend, forsake not; neither go into thy brother's house in 27:10 the day of thy calamity: for better is a neighbour that is near than a brother far off. A father’s friend forsaken: II Samuel And it came to pass after this, that the king of the children of Ammon died, 10:1 and Hanun his son reigned in his stead. II Samuel Then said David, I will show kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, as his 10:2 father showed kindness unto me. And David sent to comfort him by the hand of his servants for his father. And David's servants came into the land of the children of Ammon. II Samuel And the princes of the children of Ammon said unto Hanun their lord, 10:3 Thinkest thou that David doth honour thy father, that he hath sent comforters unto thee? hath not David rather sent his servants unto thee, to search the city, and to spy it out, and to overthrow it? II Samuel Wherefore Hanun took David's servants, and shaved off the one half of their 10:4 beards, and cut off their garments in the middle, even to their buttocks, and sent them away. A brothers role: Proverbs 17:17 A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. What should our attitude be towards our neighbor? Romans We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to 15:1 please ourselves. Romans Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. 15:2 Romans For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of 15:3 them that reproached thee fell on me. Pr My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me. 27:11 Get wisdom: Proverbs The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish 10:1 son is the heaviness of his mother. An important part of our full armor of God is our double edge sword, which is the word of God. Learn it! Know it! Matthew At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples
12:1 Matthew 12:2 Matthew 12:3 Matthew 12:4
were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day. But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him; How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the showbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests? Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless? But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.
Matthew 12:5 Matthew 12:6 Even when Satan tempted Jesus and quoted scripture, with Jesus’ wisdom and knowledge of scripture he was ready to answer him that reproacheth His Father.
On the other hand, Jacob was caught off guard and not able to give an answer him that reproacheth him: Genesis And Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, Ye have troubled me to make me to stink 34:30 among the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites and the Perizzites: and I being few in number, they shall gather themselves together against me, and slay me; and I shall be destroyed, I and my house. Genesis And they said, Should he deal with our sister as with an harlot? 34:31 Pr A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are 27:12 punished.
We are told this twice: Proverbs A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, 22:3 and are punished. Proverbs A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is 14:16 confident. Pr Take his garment that is surety for a stranger, and take a pledge of him for a strange 27:13 woman. We are told this twice: Proverbs Take his garment that is surety for a stranger: and take a pledge of him for 20:16 a strange woman. It makes sense to be discreet in ordering our affairs as not to lend money to those who are manifestly wasting their estates, unless they give very good security for it. Foolish lending is injustice to our families. Exodus If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor by thee, thou shalt not be 22:25 to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury. Exodus If thou at all take thy neighbour's raiment to pledge, thou shalt deliver it unto 22:26 him by that the sun goeth down: Exodus For that is his covering only, it is his raiment for his skin: wherein shall he 22:27 sleep? and it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto me, that I will hear; for I am gracious.
Pr He that blesseth his friend with a loud voice, rising early in the morning, it shall be counted 27:14 a curse to him. He will be suspected of sinister purposes. Paul was careful not to be over-valued. II Corinthians For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the 12:6 truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. blesseth: 1288 $rb Barak (baw-rak'); Verb, Strong #: 1288 1. to bless, kneel a. Ecclesiastes For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone 4:10 when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Ecclesiastes Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm 4:11 alone? Ecclesiastes And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold 4:12 cord is not quickly broken. Pr Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall 27:18 be honoured. He who patiently and faithfully guards and heeds his master shall be honored: I Corinthians Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a 9:7 vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? Pr As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man. 27:19 You see your face in a mirror and your thoughts in the minds of others. As water reflects the face, so one's life reflects the heart. There is only one commandment that if broken, the only evidence of it being broken is in the heart: Exodus Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy 20:17 neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

Matthew O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out 12:34 of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. Matthew A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: 12:35 and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.
We lust with our eyes: Romans Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the 6:12 lusts thereof. If you allow evil to prevail, then evil will advance more and more: II Timothy But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being 3:13 deceived. As the fining pot for silver, and the furnace for gold; so is a man to his praise.
Pr 27:21 Pr Though thou shouldest bray a fool in a mortar among wheat with a pestle, yet will not his 27:22 foolishness depart from him. Bray Noun 1. A bowl-shaped vessel in which substances can be ground and mixed with a pestle.
God is going to try our hearts in the fire like silver. Those hearts that will not be refined are like the reprobate silver spoken of in Jeremiah chapter 6. Jeremiah They are all grievous revolters, walking with slanders: they are brass and 6:28 iron; they are all corrupters. Jeremiah The bellows are burned, the lead is consumed of the fire; the founder 6:29 melteth in vain: for the wicked are not plucked away. Jeremiah Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the LORD hath rejected them. 6:30 The men who did not repent had hearts that could not be refined: Revelation "And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having 9:17 breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. " Revelation By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the 9:18 smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths. Revelation For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like 9:19 unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt. Revelation And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented 9:20 not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

John The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. 10:13 John I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. 10:14 John As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for 10:15 the sheep. John And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and 10:16 they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. John Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take 10:17 it again. John No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it 10:18 down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. For riches are not for ever: and doth the crown endure to every generation? The hay appeareth, and the tender grass showeth itself, and herbs of the mountains are gathered. The lambs are for thy clothing, and the goats are the price of the field.
