1 Introduction In this third report I was required to create three solid parts, an assembly and a 2D drawing of it. I was introduced to new commands like sweeping, blending or warping solid parts, which were introduced to me during the first three parts respectively. I was also required to apply the knowledge I had gained in previous projects to create some of the simpler steps of these objects. Following the “Getting started with Pro Engineer Wildfire 3.0” tutorial I was required to create an assembly of a regular cell phone, to which I had to assign a 2D drawing with a bill of materials later on.
2 Objectives The main objectives of this project are to learn how to blend, warp and sweep solid parts; and also to learn new ways of creating and preparing an assembly using many individual parts. Another goal set forth was to create a 2D drawing of an already existing 3D exploded assembly with a bill of materials. These objectives were all in conjunction with reinforcing and strengthening the skills I had learned before to be able to hurdle some of the smaller, individual tasks of this project.
3 Result Below are the four main parts I was required to complete for this third assignment, you will also find a brief explanation of each model alongside their respective pictures.
3.1 Part A In part-A I had to create swept extrusion out of a 2D sketch. This was quite simple following the steps from the tutorial book. The tougher part of this solid model was to create the swept extrusion in accordance to the curve sketched in sketcher mode.

3.2 Part B Part-B needed to be constructed using the blend command; 3 two-dimensional sketches are basis for it. The most challenging part of this model was to create centered 2D drawings, which were to be used later on in the blending process.

3.3 Part C The greatest challenge in part-C was to create the warp so that it would look realistic as it would appear on a regular toothpaste tube. This was achieved using a sketched line as a basis, and the warp command to indent the upper surface of the tube.

3.4 Part D In part-D I was required to complete several different parts in order to assemble them later on. The difficulty level in constructing some of the parts was high, while other parts were easier to construct. I also learned new commands of draft and shell that I had not done before; while perfecting my abilities with commands learned in the past. The construction of some of these parts was sometimes quite long and methodic, which proved to be the most difficult aspect of it. 3.4.1

3.4.2
BOM Drawing We were required to create a 2D drawing of the cell phone assembly showing a bill of materials. This was quite simple as long as the directions in the tutorial were followed attentively. The picture of the drawing is located below.

4 Conclusion After concluding this third project I have learned new skills and reinforced some of the ones previously learned in order to create new models, each with their distinct requirements. During the construction of the cell phone assembly, I have learned that attention to detail is very important to complete some of the most complicated parts; one mistake early in the construction process can prove to be time consuming later on while the assembly is being put together.
