Presente simple: Forma afirmativa El presente simple se forma con el verbo en su forma base, sin
ninguna terminación.
Pero en la tercera persona del singular (es decir, después de
he, she, it, o cualquier nombre que pueda ser sustituido por éstos, por ejemplo: John, your friend, etc…) el verbo termina en ‘–s’ o en ‘–es’: I/you/we/they play He/she/it plays I/you/we/they watch He/she/it watches

Presente simple: Forma negativa Para las oraciones negativas en presente simple necesitamos
el verbo auxiliar don’t. En la tercera persona del singular se usa doesn’t.
I/you/we/they don’t play He/she/it doesn’t play En la tercera persona del singular NO se añade ‘-s’ al verbo
principal, ya que la ‘-s’ está incluida en el verbo auxiliar. NO: He/she/it doesn’t plays

Presente simple: Forma interrogativa Para las oraciones interrogativas en presente simple
necesitamos el verbo auxiliar do delante del sujeto. En la tercera persona del singular se usa does.
Do I/you/we/they play? Does he/she/it play? En la tercera persona del singular NO se añade ‘-s’ al verbo
principal, ya que la ‘-s’ está incluida en el verbo auxiliar. NO: Does he/she/it plays?

Pasado simple: Forma afirmativa Las formas de pasado simple pueden ser regulares o
irregulares. La forma de un verbo REGULAR termina en ‘-ed’. We played tennis yesterday El pasado simple es el mismo para todas las personas:
I/you/he/she/it/we/they played La única excepción es el pasado del verbo be:

oración para hablar de una acción corta, momentánea, que interrumpió otra más larga: I was reading...
