POLLUTION Pollution is an undesirable change in the physical, chemical or biological characteristics of air, water and soil.

AIR POLLUTION Addition of any unwanted substances occurred in the air, then it is called air pollution

Malaria and dengue fever are two of the common diseases spreading as a result of urbanization



Harmful gases due to waste material causes many diseases such as bronchitis, pneumonia

Uncontrolled cutting of trees result in increase in carbon dioxide level in the atmosphere

Water pollution When any undesirable substance mixes with water it become contaminated this results in water pollution

Sources of water pollution

Compounds of calcium and magnesium ,microorganisms, oils heavy metals, detergents, domestic water, pesticides, fertilizers. industrial water and radioactive waters, etc are commonly found in polluted water

Harmful effects of water pollution 1 Mercury, cadmium, cobalt and other impurities dissolved in water causes Diarrhea 2 Water pollution is responsible for death of microorganisms and fisher 3 Depletion of oxygen content in water, mostly due to speeding of oil spills on surface of water, affects respiration in organisms
