Morton East High School
Dear Students, There are times when we all need help working out our problems. Peer mediation is a program designed to assist students who are experiencing a conflict with another student or students. Mediation is a process whereby students in conflict voluntarily agree to discuss their conflict with a neutral person. This neutral party is a peer and is trained in facilitating the peer mediation process. Peer mediation will not be successful if the participants are not willing to commit to the process in order to reach a resolution to their problem. You may refer yourself or your friends to peer mediation. Mediation request forms are located in the guidance office, room 217 and through your counselor. If you would like to remain anonymous, please check your request form at the bottom. Drop off the completed form in the peer mediation drop box, located in the guidance office, room 217. We will contact the referred students within two (2) school days. Sincerely,
Mrs. Montes-Gtz Peer Mediation Advisor, East Campus
