Cleaning of the flange surface with Magnaflux SKC-I Cleaner.

Application of Permatex Form-a-Seal Leak Repair Spray to temporarily stop the flow. Penetrates into tight crevices and also tackifies the oil preventing it from coming out to allow for putty application.

3.

Application of ICC Steel Stick Epoxy Putty over the parting plane (114 gms pack). High temperature and oil resistance. Other putty applied by client did not stay long due to high temperatures.

No oil leakage from the parting plane flange since the application was done, when checked in Mar’06.
