USM Windows Live EMail Universiti Sains Malaysia's new student.usm.my Windows Live student e-mail service is available for all students. The university has partnered with Microsoft (Microsoft Live@edu program) to offer these customized @student.usm.my student e-mail accounts hosted by Windows Live Hotmail. Get started now with the instructions in this brochure

USM Windows Live E-mail

Send and receive e-mail from virtually any web-connected computer and have one e-mail address for life as students may keep and use their student.usm.my Windows Live account after graduation or the completion of their educational goals with the university.

What I need to do the first time I login into USM Windows Live Go to http://mail.live.com. Sign in with your @student.usm.my e-mail address and your ic as your initial password. Click the sign in button.

The “Select a question and secret answer” is very important if you ever need to reset your password. Select one of the question and provide a secret answer that is easy for you to remember, but hard for others to guess. You will need to re-type it exactly the same in the future, so make sure it is an answer that you feel you can re-type the same way many months from now.

By default, the mailbox will open on the “Today” screen. Most users prefer it to open directly to their inbox. You can make this changes by finding the “Want to start with your inbox? To skip the Today page when you sign in, change your settings.” text at the bottom of the middle column.
