Click Insert Page Number If you position yourself where you want it, click current position – choose where you want it to go. OR Insert Header or Footer (depending on whether you want the number at the top or bottom of the page. Click what example you want or go into Edit Header (Footer) and position yourself where you want the number to appear. Click Page Number illustration If you hold down the Alt Key and hit F9 on the top row, you will the code for the page number instead of the actual number. This indicates that you have done it correctly. If you just type the number 1, all of your pages will say 1 instead of numbering sequentially.
