Setting up Specifications/ Procedures and Linking them to Routings Revision: 001

This document defines the process of setting up Specifications and Procedures and then linking them to the Work Order Routings. All specifications and procedures are item categories. In order to add a new category, go to the Category Codes form as shown below. You view any existing Specifications or Procedures or add new ones by clicking the NEW button. Existing Procedures are shown in the screen below. The revision of the Procedure is contained in the Descriptive Flexfield to the far right. Clicking in the DFF will bring up the Revision form.
Now that you have the Procedure and Specification established, you can link them to the Routing Operation.

Go to the routing form and bring up an existing routing as shown below. You can now open the Descriptive Flexfield and link the Procedures and Specifications using the form below.
