Open Day

OPEN DAY On Monday, 18th August, 2008 the three-member committee in-charge of the organization of the Open Day for KHRC met and came out with this proposal. It was suggested at the meeting to have the event spread over two days – Friday and Saturday. The first day will be for the scientific or policy makers group and the second day for the community/Assembly members. The activities for each day are as follows: Day one 1. Oral and poster presentations 2. Tour – Offices and field 3. Demonstration of equipment Day two 1. Radio discussions on what goes on at the centre 2. Clean – up exercise 3. Donations if any – schools and health institutions (books and computers) 4. Durbar interspersed with drama (staging a play) 5. Tour of the centre/showcasing the activities of the centre 6. Games – indoor and outdoor 7. Medical check up –weight, BP, eye test 8. Music/drinks –for sale or free or at a subsidized price. 9. Church service
