About Olam Information Services Olam Information Services Limited has been set-up, in this backdrop, to provide customization and maintenance of ERP services for the Group’s IT needs with a provision for third party IT (and ITES) services. Olam International Limited has been growing at a very fast pace. It is one of fastest growing company in the supply chain segment. The business grew by 25% during the year ended 30th June, 2007. The company is expanding its operations organically (by starting operations in new countries/products) and inorganically (by acquiring new companies/entering Joint Ventures). To augment the growth further, the Olam International Limited management has taken a strategic decision to develop and maintain in-house business software applications. With operations in 59 countries, spanning 19 businesses, delivering the products to over 3,800 customers in over 59 destination markets and growing, the business teams are always very demanding of IT solutions and duration of delivery. Keeping this rigorous demand in mind, Olam Information Services Private Limited, Chennai, has been established to be the Global
Development Centre (‘GDC’) for Olam. The purpose of GDC is to create a Centre of Excellence in Software Engineering allowing high quality design, development, implementation and support of business solutions for Olam worldwide. India is also a booming market for IT (and ITES). Olam Information Services is expected to develop competency in this segment by providing such services to Olam International Limited.
Q U A L I F I C AT I O N DESIRED PROFILE/ EXPERIENCE:
MBA from Premier Institute or CA Managed at least 2 life cycle implementations of SAP Project. ERP implementation expertise in both SAP & Oracle e-Business suite will be an added advantage. Implementation at Global environment is also an added plus. Should have head the entire project and the life cycle. Should have handled SAP (& Oracle e-business suite) evaluation, fitment and gap analysis for an organization, preferably a global/MNC organization Should have handled end-to-end Process mapping to facilitate SAP (& Oracle e-business suite) implementation. Should have strong in-depth understanding of SAP (& Oracle ebusiness suite) modules – Financials, Sales & Distribution, Manufacturing (preferably Process Manufacturing), Purchase, Quality, Logistics/Inventory Management, Costing/Inventory Valuation methods, Treasury, Warehouse Management etc. Experience/exposure to Supply Chain modules will be an added advantage. Strong Project Management Skills. Ability to use Project Management Tools is must. A PMP Certification will be an added advantage. Must be smart with excellent communication skills. Should have directly interacted with Business stakeholders and Senior Business Managers. Ability to communicate with this business community is essential to gather requirements as well as influence ERP decision. Should have demonstrated ability to customize SAP (& Oracle ebusiness suite) solutions within permitted ERP framework to suit the
business need is must. Solid understanding of SAP Netweaver platform (& Oracle Fusion Middleware platform). Managed integration of other peripheral solutions to ERP through Web Services, XML Gateway, Interface tables etc. Knowledge and experience in multi-Organization, multi-lingual, multicurrency and country localization is a must. Experience in handling more than one country localization is a definite plus. Demonstrated ability to attract and retain talents for ERP implementation is a definite plus. Experience in SAP (& Oracle ebusiness) implementation for Food Commodity, Food FMCG industry is a huge plus. Should have strategic thinking in ERP space. Background such as experience in business function/operation before moving to IT space for ERP Implementation is a definite advantage.
