Fall (or should I say winter) has begun! Field Trip Our field trip is next Tuesday, Nov. 4th and there are quite a few students who have not turned in their permission form and $17.00. Please send this in soon or your child may not be able to attend Worldsong.

Daylight Savings Time & Multiplication Don’t forget to turn back your clocks this weekend to gain an extra hour! YIPPEE for the extra hour this weekend, but sad that it will become darker earlier.
Tomorrow the students will be tested on the 3’s, 6’s, and 9’s facts! Please be studying because these facts are little more difficult.

Reading Next week we will begin a unit on “Questioning.” Writing We are almost done publishing our Fictional Narratives!! Booklets will hopefully go home next week! Word Study This week we brainstormed words that are related to FALL and/or HALLOWEEN to do something a little different. Math We have begun a unit on “Subtracting.” In 3rd grade students should be able to do the following: subtract 2 and 3 digit numbers with and without regrouping, make change with money up to $5.00, solve subtraction word problems. Social Studies We have done continents, oceans, and imaginary lines. Right now we are learning specific things about our nation, including historical landmarks.
