Latest Job Reports Reports indicate that Overland Pass Pipeline Company, LLC has awarded contracts for its proposed Overland Pass Pipeline. It is reported that contracts have been let to Sheehan Pipe Line Construction - 146 miles of 14-inch pipeline from Opal, Wyoming to Rawlins, Wyoming; Gregory & Cook Construction - 136 miles of 16-inch pipeline from Rawlins, Wyoming to Laramie, Wyoming; and 150 miles of 16-inch pipeline from Laramie, Wyoming to Fort Morgan, Colorado would be constructed by Snelson Companies, Inc. (40 miles) and Sterling Construction Company (110 miles). It is anticipated that work will begin in mid-October 2007.

TG Mercer Consulting Services, Inc., ph (800)909-3345 has begun work under a contract with Spectra Energy (formerly Duke Energy) on the Southeast Supply Header. Mercer will unload and rack 270 miles of 36 inch and 42 inch pipe for the natural gas pipeline that will run from the Perryville Hub in northern Louisiana to the Gulfstream Natural Gas System near Southern Mobile County, Alabama. Pipe is arriving from CPW in Greece by ships to Baton Rouge, LA and Mobile, AL., where it is being trucked to over seven staging yards. See website for more information www.tgmercer.com.

It is reported that contracts have been awarded for a proposed project for CenterPoint Energy Gas Transmission and Duke Energy Gas Transmission. The proposed 270 mile Southeast Supply Header project will bring natural gas supplies from the Perryville Hub in northern Louisiana to interconnecting pipelines serving the eastern U.S. and terminate at the Gulfstream Natural Gas System near southern Mobile County, Alabama. The pipeline is expected to be in service in the summer of 2008. It is reported that contracts have been awarded to: Spread 1 - Willbros RPI, ph (281)449-3736 - approximately 100 miles of 36-inch pipeline from Delhi, Louisiana to Jackson, Mississippi. Spread 2 - M. G. Dyess, Inc., ph (601)943-6663 - approximately 80 miles of 36-inch pipeline from Jackson, Mississippi to Lucedale, Mississippi; and Spread 3Willbros RPI - approximately 90 miles of 36-inch pipeline from Lucedale, MS to Coden, Alabama. Work is anticipated to begin in the first part of November 2007.

Otis Eastern Service, Inc., ph (585)593-4760 was expected to get underway with the 2007 portion of the Empire Connector Project in mid to late September 2007. According to reports, the 2007 portion consist of approximately 25 miles of 24-inch pipeline in Yates and Schuyler, NY. Field office phone is (607)243-7945. The Empire Connector Project consists of about 80 miles of 24-inch diameter pipeline extending from its existing pipeline in Victor, New York, to an interconnection with the Millennium Pipeline near Corning, New York. Right-of-Way Clearing & Maintenance, Inc., ph (724)836-2730 has been awarded a contract by Otis Eastern Services, Inc. to clear approximately 400,000 feet of 24-inch pipeline for the Empire Connector Pipeline Project in Ontario, Yates, Schuyler, Chemung and Steuben Counties, New York. Superintendent is Neil E. Kinneer. Work set to begin September 17, 2007.

Coolsaet Construction Company, ph (734)946-9300 has been awarded a contract by Michigan Consolidated Gas Co. to takeup and relay approximately 4,500 feet of 30-inch pipeline in Oakland County, Michigan. Superintendent is Jim Shepler. Work set to begin September 18, 2007. H. D. Griffin Co., (660)542-1516 has been awarded a contract by Panhandle Eastern for the Lamine River Project in Scooper County, Missouri. The job consists of 6,200 feet of take up of dual 18-inch pipeline and retirement of river headers and valve settings and replacing with 6,200 feet of 24-inch pipeline including a 1,400 feet HDD (Intercon Construction) of Lamine River. Work got underway in September and is expected to complete in mid to late October 2007. Field office is Marshall Junction, Missouri. It is reported that Sheehan Pipe Line Construction may be the low bidder on the Gulfstream Phase III Pipeline Project. The proposed project is a 34.3-mile segment of 30-inch gas pipeline extending from Gulfstream’s existing Station 712 in Martin County, Florida to a newly constructed Station 705 that would connect to the proposed Florida Power & Light Company 2,220 megawatt gas turbine West County Energy Center in Palm Beach County, Florida. If permits are approved for construction, it is reported that construction could begin possibly in January 2008.

Universal Ensco, Inc., ph (713)977-7770 has been awarded the inspection contract for the MinnCan Project. The MinnCan Project route traverses approximately 304 miles of central Minnesota. The Construction Manager is Waylan Dunn. Chief Inspectors for Universal Ensco, Inc. are Lindy Wickstrom, Red Peebles, and Dale McBride. Reports indicate that Troy Construction, Inc., ph (281)437-8214 has been awarded a contract by Air Products and Chemicals to construct 68 miles of 14-inch pipeline from Cedar Bayou, TX to Port, Neches, TX. Work is set to begin 2008. It is reported that Gregory & Cook Construction, Inc., ph (713)780-7500 is the low bidder on the proposed Guardian Expansion and Extension Project which includes approximately 106 miles of 12-inch through 30-inch natural gas pipeline from the terminus of the existing Guardian Pipeline near Ixonia, Wisconsin, to the Green Bay area. If approved for construction, a Spring 2008 construction start up is anticipated. Rockford Corporation, ph (530)674-4000 is underway with miscellaneous work including road bores on a contract for Energy Transfer which will consist of construction of 55 miles of 42-inch pipeline

(from Groveton, TX to near Woodville, TX - Trinity, Polk and Tyler Counties, Texas.) Mainline is anticipated to begin in November 2008. Superintendent is John Merrick. JEH Company, ph (817)306-3555 has been awarded a right-of-way clearing contract by Rockford Corporation for approx. 55 miles of 42-inch pipeline related to this project. Superintendent is E. G. Helzer. Clearing work got underway August 1, 2007. Gulf South Pipeline got underway in late August with construction of approximately 240 miles of 42-inch natural gas pipeline extending easterly from DeSoto Parish, Louisiana to Simpson County, Mississippi. Contractors include: Sheehan Pipeline Construction, ph (918)747-3471 - approximately 60 miles of 42-inch pipeline from Keatchie, Louisiana to west of Jonesboro, Louisiana. Work is tentatively scheduled for summer of 2008.

Willbros, ph (713)403-8000 has been awarded an installation contract for the construction of three segments of the Midcontinent Express Pipeline by Midcontinent Express Pipeline LLC, a joint venture between Kinder Morgan Energy Partners and Energy Transfer Partners. The three segments will traverse Oklahoma and Texas and are comprised of approximately 257 miles of 42-inch pipeline. The projected start date for the project is third quarter 2008. Rockford Corporation, ph ((503)647-0224 has been awarded a job for Transwestern which will consist of construction of 122 miles of 36-inch pipeline in Arizona. Over the years Alpha Pipe Company has purchased hundreds of miles of new, surplus and used line pipe from the asset recovery divisions of the natural gas and pipeline industry. pany, and began training her in the sales field. She is now one of the top sales representatives at Alpha Pipe Company, and looks forward to building her client base over the next ten years. Leslie spearheaded the movement to expand Alpha Pipe's product line to include the HDPE and PVC pipe sales. Carl began training his son, Kyle, back in 2005. Kyle has traveled to many job sites with Carl over the past two years, gaining invaluable knowledge from his father in a hands-on working environment. Kyle currently attends the University of Missouri-Columbia. During his summer breaks, while not in the field with his father, he works in the office making sales contacts. When they need temporary help on special projects or to fill in for the support team during vacations, Jim and Carl look to family to fill the positions. In addition, Sandra Roeder, Jim's wife, has worked at Alpha Pipe part-time for the past year as a receptionist. And some employees just feel like family. Signing on Steve Olson as part of their sales team in 2001 was a major coup for Alpha Pipe Company. Steve brought over 30 years of experience with him to the organization. He has become a favored advisor to Jim and Carl, as well as a mentor to Leslie. Steve’s customers know that they can count on his knowledge of the industry to provide them with the best deals on the pipe they require, delivered in a timely manner. Cindy Wooten joined Alpha Pipe Company’s family at the beginning of 2005. She was originally brought in to fill a void in the accounting department, but now manages the office. She has brought innovative ideas with her and pushed Alpha Pipe to the next level by advocating the latest technology, streamlined sales and accounting procedures, and new promotional ideas. Proposed Projects and Updates UPDATE! Boardwalk Pipeline Partners, LP has received a Notice of Schedule of Environmental Review from the FERC for the proposed Gulf Crossing Pipeline Project. Issuance of the Notice of Availability of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is scheduled for November 2, 2007. Issuance of the Notice of Availability of Final EIS is scheduled for March 28, 2008 with the 90Day Federal Agency Action/Decision Target set for June 26, 2008. Boardwalk, through its subsidiary Gulf Crossing, proposes to construct, own and operate approximately 351 miles of new 42-inchdiameter natural gas transmission pipeline, four new compressor stations, four new metering and regulating stations and associated facilities in Grayson, Fannin, Lamar, Red River, Franklin, Titus, Morris, and Cass Counties, Texas; Bryan County, Oklahoma; and Caddo, Bossier, Webster, Claiborne, Lincoln, Union, Ouchida, Morehouse, Richland, and Madison Parishes, Louisiana. In addition, as part of the Gulf Crossing Project, Boardwalk, through its subsidiary Gulf South, proposes to construct, own and operate a 4.5-mile-long 42-inch-diameter pipeline loop (Loop A) in Madison Parish, Louisiana; and an 11.2-mile-long 42-inch-diameter pipeline loop (Loop B) in Hinds, Copiah, and Simpson Counties, Mississippi; as well as installing an additional 30,000 horsepower of compression at the proposed Harrisville Compressor Station. The Gulf Crossing Pipeline Project will originate at a new interconnect with Sherman Express Pipeline Partners, LLC near Sherman, Texas and proceed to an interconnect with Fmogex Inc. near Bennington, Oklahoma, then continue southeasterly to an interconnect with Crosstex North Texas Pipeline, LP near NGPL's Station 802, and to the Perryville Hub, near Delhi, Louisiana. From Perryville, the pipeline will proceed downstream utilizing a capacity lease (approximately 202 miles) with Gulf South to an interconnect with Transco at its Station 85. In addition, the pipeline will have an upstream capacity lease with Enogex, Inc. The project will consist of approximately 235 miles of collocated pipeline, which will be adjacent to foreign pipelines and Gulf South's existing pipeline system. The remaining approximately 100 miles of pipeline will not be collocated with other energy corridors. The new pipeline's four compressor stations will be located potentially near Sherman and Paris, Texas in northwest Louisiana, and near Delhi, Louisiana. UPDATE! Bradwood Landing LLC and NorthernStar Energy LLC - The staff of the FERC has prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal. The LNG import terminal would be located at Bradwood, about 38 miles up the Columbia River from its mouth, in Clatsop County, Oregon, and the sendout pipeline would be located in Clatsop and Columbia Counties, Oregon, and Cowlitz County, Washington. The Bradwood Landing LNG import terminal would have a peak sendout capacity of about 1.3 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd) of natural gas. The project would consist of: a dredged LNG ship maneuvering area off of the Columbia River navigation channel; a single ship berth capable of receiving LNG ships with cargo capacities ranging from 100,000 to 200,000 cubic meters (m\3\); a set of four 16-inch-diameter LNG unloading arms, including two liquid unloading arms, one hybrid arm, and a vapor return arm on the jetty, and a 1,240-foot-long, 32-inch-diameter cryogenic LNG transfer pipeline and 6-inch-diameter LNG recirculation pipeline extending from the berth to the LNG storage tanks; two insulated LNG storage tanks, each with a useable volume of over 1 million barrels, or 160,000 m\3\; a vapor management system to handle the boil-off gas (BOG) that occurs during the unloading process, including vapor return blowers and knockout drum on the jetty, vapor handling pipework, two BOG compressors, and a BOG condenser; an LNG sendout system, consisting of six submerged in-tank LNG discharge pumps (three in each storage tank) and five sendout pumps; seven submerged combustion vaporizers, of which six would normally

operate and one would be a back-up, to re-gasify the LNG and provide natural gas through a metering station to the inlet valve of the sendout pipeline; utilities, including a 1.5-mile-long 115-kilovolt power line and switchyard, and an 800-kilowatt emergency dieselfueled generator; support buildings, including a warehouse/administrative building, control building, switch rooms, compressor building, and gatehouse/security building; and a fire protection and detection system, including a firewater pumphouse, and security system including fencing. The natural gas pipeline facilities proposed by NorthernStar Energy LLC addressed in the draft EIS include: a 36.3mile-long, underground, high-pressure welded steel sendout pipeline consisting of approximately 18.9 miles of 36-inch diameter pipeline in Clatsop and Columbia Counties, Oregon and 17.4 miles of 30-inch-diameter pipeline in Columbia County, Oregon and Cowlitz County, Washington; five meter stations, including at the LNG terminal, the Georgia-Pacific Wauna paper mill delivery point, the interconnection with the Northwest Natural Gas Company intrastate pipeline system, the Portland General Electric Company Beaver Power Plant delivery point, and interconnection with Williams Northwest Pipeline Company interstate pipeline system; and at least five mainline block valves, two pig launchers, and two pig receivers. UPDATE! Calhoun LNG, L.P., Point Comfort Pipeline Company, L.P - The staff of the FERC has prepared a favorable Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the proposed Calhoun LNG Terminal and Pipeline Project to be located in Calhoun and Jackson Counties, Texas. The general purpose of the proposed project is to import, store, and vaporize on average about 1.0 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd) of LNG to provide a competitive supply of

The Final EIS addresses the potential environmental impacts from the construction and operation of the following facilities: a new marine terminal on the southeastern shore of Lavaca Bay, south of Point Comfort, in Calhoun County, Texas that could accommodate about 120 LNG vessels per year; two full containment LNG storage tanks each with a nominal working volume of approximately 160,000 m3 (1,006,000 barrels equivalent); associated LNG vaporization and processing equipment; an approximately 27.1-mile-long, 36-inchdiameter natural gas pipeline extending northward from the LNG terminal to natural gas pipeline interconnects southwest of Edna, Texas; a 0.25-mile-long, 8-inch-diameter natural gas pipeline lateral extending from the proposed pipeline to a meter station servicing the Formosa Hydrocarbons Company (Formosa Lateral); a 0.25mile-long, 16-inch-diameter natural gas pipeline lateral extending from the proposed pipeline to a meter station servicing the Transcontinental Gas Pipeline Corporation (Transco Lateral); ten delivery points/interconnects; and associated pipeline facilities including pig launcher and receiver facilities and three mainline valves. Dependent upon Commission approval, Calhoun Point Comfort anticipates it would complete construction and begin operating the proposed project in 2010. NEW! CenterPoint Energy Gas Transmission Company (CEGT) has filed a prior notice request with the FERC that the company is planning to construct a new compressor station on CEGT's Line AC located near the city of Cove in Polk Cotmty, Arkansas. The new compressor station will consist of a Solar Mars 100/C652 Turbine driven centrifugal compressor package and associated ancillary

equipment. CEGT's total construction costs are estimated to be $26,257.504. NEW! Chevron Keystone Gas Storage, LLC ("Keystone"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Chevron Corporation, recently held a non-binding open season for 3 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of available capacity at its natural gas storage facility located near Kermit, Texas. The open season closed on Sept. 14, 2007. Keystone's current working gas capacity is 5 Bcf, with withdrawal capability of 400 million cubic feet per day (mmcf/d) and injection capability of 160 mmcf/d. The expansion is expected to increase working gas capacity to 8 Bcf and injection capability to 200 mmcf/d. Located in the Permian Basin production region, Keystone is a high deliverability salt cavern natural gas storage facility that connects to the El Paso Natural Gas, Transwestern Gas Company and Northern Natural Gas Company pipelines. These connections allow Keystone to serve customers and consumers in Texas as well as the Midwestern and Western interstate regions. Keystone has been in service since September 2002. UPDATE! Colorado Interstate Gas - The FERC staff has prepared a favorable Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Colorado Interstate Gas Company’s (CIG) High Plains Expansion Project. The project includes expansion of CIG’s existing pipeline system by the construction and operation of about 163.7 miles of 24- and 30-inch-diameter pipeline, in four separate pipeline segments, and associated above ground facilities in Weld, Adams, and Morgan Counties, Colorado. Specifically, the project includes: Line 250A: 64.5 miles of 30-inch-diameter pipeline and 20.3 miles of 24inch-diameter pipeline that would extend from CIG's existing Cheyenne Compressor Station to an interconnect point on the pro-

Proposed Projects and Updates posed Line 251A in northeast Adams County; Line 251A: 57.9 miles of 24-inch-diameter pipeline between CIG's existing Watkins and Fort Morgan Compressor Stations; Line 252A: 14.9 miles of 30inch-diameter pipeline extending westward from a point on the proposed Line 250A about one mile north of the existing Hudson Power Plant in the Town of Hudson, Colorado, to a new interconnect with Public Service Company of Colorado's existing Tri-Town facilities in Weld County, Colorado; Line 253A: 6.1 miles of 24-inch-diameter pipeline extending westward from the Watkins Compressor Station to CIG's existing East Denver measurement facility in Adams County, Colorado; ten new meter stations and 19 new block valves; and twelve pig launcher/receivers. The entire project would be capable of transporting about 899,000 dekatherms of gas per day. CIG proposes to begin construction in January 2008. It would put each pipeline segment into service as it is completed, and the entire project would be in service by October 2008. UPDATE! The FERC has issued a Notice of Schedule for Environmental Review for Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation’s proposed Eastern Market Expansion Project (EME) to be located in Ohio, West Virginia, and Virginia. The Notice states that the Environmental Review is scheduled for October 1, 2007 with a Federal Authorization Action/Decision Deadline scheduled for December 30, 2007. Columbia’s planned Eastern Market Expansion Project consists of: (a) expanding the existing Crawford Storage Field in Fairfield and Hocking Counties, Ohio; (b) expanding the existing Coco A and C Storage Fields in Kanawha County, West Virginia; (c) installing a total of 35,091 horsepower and upgrades at four existing compressor stations in West Virginia; and (d) constructing three sections of 26- to 36-inch diameter pipeline looping totaling 15.26

miles in Clay and Randolph Counties, West Virginia, and Warren, Clarke, and Fauquier Counties, Virginia. When completed, the facilities will allow Columbia to provide up to 97,050 Dth per day of firm storage service. Tentative in-service date for the project is April 1, 2009 in-service date. NEW! Crosstex Energy, L.P. announced it will construct a 29-mile natural gas pipeline in north Johnson County, Texas, to provide greater takeaway capacity to natural gas producers in the Barnett Shale formation. Total capital costs are estimated to be approximately $80 million. The ultimate capacity of the low-pressure and high-pressure gathering system will be approximately 400 million cubic feet of gas per day (MMcf/d) when all phases of pipeline construction are completed, which is planned for the second quarter of 2008. Initially, the pipeline will transport approximately 80 MMcf/d, and is scheduled to begin deliveries in the third quarter of 2007. Full capacity utilization is expected by 2009. Crosstex has secured commitments from numerous gas producers to move gas through the new pipeline. Some of the commitments are from major exploration and production companies that operate in the Barnett Shale, including Chesapeake Energy, the anchor shipper. The north Johnson County pipeline project will include 20-inch and 24-inch pipeline and three compressor stations totaling 36,000 horsepower. UPDATE! Dominion Transmission, Inc. - The staff of the FERC will prepare an Environmental Assessment (EA) that will discuss the environmental impacts of the Storage Factory Project, involving construction and operation of facilities by Dominion Transmission, Inc. in Clinton, Elk, and Tioga Counties, Pennsylvania. The Storage Factory Project would involve the leaching of two salt caverns and

The project consists of constructing leaching/pumping facilities, a brine processing facility, water and brine pipelines, and a new compressor station for gas storage injection/withdrawal purposes in Tioga County. Dominion is also proposing on-system enhancements to other existing facilities in Pennsylvania, including piping upgrades to the Sabinsville Storage Pool. Proposed modifications to transmission related facilities include additional compression at Dominion’s existing Ardell Station (approximately 4,000 horsepower located in Elk County, Pennsylvania) and approximately 7.5 miles of new 30-inch diameter pipeline looping in Clinton County. The Storage Factory Project is in the preliminary design state. Dominion anticipates filing an application with the FERC in March 2008 and to seek the Commission’s approval in time for Dominion to begin construction by March 2009, with a proposed inservice date of January 2014. The Storage Factory Project is in the preliminary planning stage. The precise facility design, pipeline route, rights-of-way, and other details have not yet been finalized. UPDATE! Enstor Houston Hub Storage and Transportation, L.P. has received a Notice of Scheduled Environmental Review for the proposed Houston Hub Project. The staff of the FERC is preparing an Environmental Assessment that will discuss the environmental impacts of the Houston Hub Project involving construction and operation of a new salt dome cavern gas storage project and pipelines by Enstor Houston Hub Storage and Transportation, L.P. at the North Dayton Salt Dome in Liberty County, Texas. Enstor is proposing to construct four solution-mined caverns with an initial total storage capacity of 16 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of working gas, supported by 8.7 Bcf of pad gas. Upon completion of solution mining, the caverns would be taken out of service one at a time for addi-

tional solution mining to increase the capacity of each of the four storage caverns by 7.5 Bcf for a total volume of 30 Bcf of working gas and 16.3 Bcf of pad gas. The project would be capable of injecting about 600 MMcf per day and provide a nominal withdrawal of 1 Bcf per day. Enstor seeks authority to construct four solution-mined gas storage salt caverns; five brine disposal wells and associated 20inch-diameter brine disposal pipeline; five raw water wells and associated 20-inch-diameter raw water pipeline; a 31,600 horse-power compressor station; two interconnects and meter stations; 2.3 miles of dual 24-inch-diameter pipeline; and ancillary facilities including dehydration equipment, pressure reducing station, withdrawal separator with slug catcher. The issuance of the Environmental Assessment from the FERC is expected December 6, 2007. The 90-Day Federal Agency Action/Decision Target is expected March 7, 2007. UPDATE! Empire State Pipeline and Empire Pipeline, Inc. have filed a Notice to Proceed with Construction of the 2007 portion of the Empire Connector Project. In the filing, Empire stated certain portions of its certificated pipeline facilities that it would need to construct in 2007, beginning on September 17th, in order to complete its project by November 1, 2008. Empire requested authorization to utilize four pipeyard locations on August 28, 2007. Empire is now seeking FERC authorization to proceed with construction of the Keuka Outlet HDD crossing in Yates, NY, and cathodic protection installations. In addition, Empire seeks authorization to proceed with the bored crossing of the New York Thruway in Ontario, NY, the HDD crossing of the Canandaigua Outlet in Ontario, NY and the crossing of Shequaga Creek. Also included in the proposed 2007 work is approximately 24 miles of pipeline in Yates and Schuyler, NY. Otis Eastern Service, Inc. has been selected as the pipeline contractor.

Golden Triangle Storage, Inc. has received a Notice of Intent to Prepare an Environmental Assessment from the FERC for the proposed Golden Triangle Storage Project to be located near Beaumont in Jefferson and Orange Counties, Texas. The Golden Triangle Storage Project would consist of developing two 8.0-billioncubic-feet storage caverns; two parallel 7.45-mile-long, 24-inch diameter pipelines; 1.45 miles of additional 24-inch-diameter pipeline; six associated meter stations; a 14,205 horsepower compressor station; up to five brine disposal wells; a brine disposal pipeline; a freshwater pipeline; and other appurtenant facilities. Golden Triangle says that the facilities will ultimately provide an estimated 16 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of high deliverability, multicycle working storage capacity in two stages of development. In the first stage, Golden Triangle will solution mine each of the storage caverns to a volume of 8.2 million barrels for a working storage capacity or about 6 Bcf per cavern, and then place the caverns in commercial service, the first in late 2010 and the second in early 2013. In the second stage, through use of a partial cavern refilling solution mining technique, Golden Triangle proposes to gradually enlarge each of the caverns over a 10-12 year period to a potential maximum volume of up to 12.5 million barrels for a working storage capacity of 8 Bcf per cavern (16 Bcf in total). Gulf South Pipeline Company, LP - The FERC staff has prepared a favorable Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed Southeast Expansion Project. the construction of three new compressor stations, and the construction of ancillary pipeline facilities including meter and regulation facilities, main line valves, and pigging facilities. These proposed facilities would be constructed and operated in Eastern Louisiana, Central Mississippi and Western Alabama, specifically: Richland Parish, Louisiana; Simpson, Smith, Jasper, and Clarke Counties, Mississippi; and Choctaw County, Alabama. Gulf South proposes to have the project constructed and operational by June 2008. UPDATE! Jordan Cove Energy Project L.P. and Pacific Connector Gas Pipeline, L.P. have each filed an application with the FERC seeking approval to construct a liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal (Jordan Cove LNG) and an interstate natural gas transmission system (Pacific Connector). Together, the Jordan Cove LNG and Pacific Connector projects will help meet the growing needs for natural gas supplies in the Pacific Northwest, northern California and northern Nevada. The Jordan Cove LNG project, to be located in the International Port of Coos Bay, Oregon is a stateof-the-art LNG import terminal that will provide a new competitive source of clean-burning natural gas to meet the region's growing energy demands. The facility will include a marine berth capable of receiving LNG supplies from specially-designed marine vessels, two full containment 160,000 cubic meter LNG tanks (3.2 billion cubic feet per tank) for storage of the natural gas in liquid form, regasification and send out capacity of 1 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day, an integrated electric power plant, and a natural gas liquids extraction facility to recover propane and butane to ensure compliance with regional gas specifications. The Pacific Connector project is a 230-mile, 36-inch diameter pipeline designed to transport up to 1 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day from the Jordan

The Pacific Connector project includes interconnects to Williams’ Northwest Pipeline near Myrtle Creek, Oregon, Avista Corporation's distribution system near Shady Cove, Oregon, as well as Pacific Gas and Electric Company's gas transmission system, Tuscarora Gas Transmission's system and Gas Transmission Northwest's system, all located near Malin, Oregon. Pacific Connector has entered into agreements with seven customers who have requested 1.49 billion cubic feet of natural gas capacity per day through the proposed pipeline. Upon finalization of LNG supply commitments at the Jordan Cove LNG terminal, Pacific Connector will allocate, if needed, the available 1 billion cubic feet of pipeline capacity amongst seven customers. The two projects will provide more than 2,800 jobs at construction peak.

Oregon LNG anticipates filing its formal application no later than February 18, 2008 and will respectfully request that the Commission issue an Order authorizing the siting, construction and operation of the project no later than December 2008. Oregon LNG anticipates filing its project Implementation Plan no later than January 2009 and requesting authorization to commence construction by March 2009. Oregon LNG anticipates a construction schedule of approximately 36 to 40 months.

NEW! Kinder Morgan Interstate Gas Transmission LLC has filed an application with the FERC and has received a Notice of Intent to Prepare and Environmental Assessment for the proposed Colorado Lateral Expansion Project in Weld County, Colorado. The project will consist of delivery meter stations and approximately 41.4 miles of 12-inch pipeline facilities extending from Cheyenne to Greeley in Weld County, Colorado. The facilities are proposed in order to provide incremental firm transportation service to Atmos Energy Corporation. The total estimated cost for the proposed facilities is $23,549,557.

UPDATE! Midcontinent Express Pipeline, LLC (MEP) has received a Supplemental Notice of Intent To Prepare an Environmental Impact Statement from the FERC for the proposed Midcontinent Express Project. On June 25, 2007, MEP filed draft resource reports that identified a modification to the project in Richland and Madison Parishes, Louisiana, consisting of an approximately 4.2-mile-long lateral pipeline (CenterPoint Lateral). MEP proposes to construct, own and operate approximately 495 miles of new 30-, 36-, and 42-inch diameter interstate natural gas transmission pipeline, a total of approximately 111,720 horsepower of compression at one booster and four new mainline compressor stations, and related appurtenant facilities located in portions of Oklahoma, northeast Texas, northern Louisiana, central Mississippi, and Alabama. The proposed pipeline route identified by MEPwould extend from a receipt point with existing pipeline infrastructure near Bennington in Bryan County, Oklahoma, to an interconnect with the

MEP proposes to place the first 40 miles of 30-inch diameter pipeline in service by October 31, 2008, with the remainder of the pipeline constructed and operational by February 2009. UPDATE! Overland Pass Pipeline Company LLC., a joint venture company of ONEOK and Williams has received a Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) from the FERC for the proposed Overland Pass Natural Gas Liquids Pipeline Project. The FEIS analyzes the potential environmental consequences of granting Overland Pass Company a ROW to construct an approximately 760-mile pipeline that would transport NGLs from Opal, Wyoming, to its terminus at the company's existing facilities in Conway, Kansas. The pipeline would be approximately 14 inches in diameter between Opal and Echo Springs, Wyoming, and 16 inches in diameter from Echo Springs, Wyoming, to Conway, Kansas. The proposed pipeline route will traverse 23 counties in three states: five each in Wyoming and Colorado, and 13 in Kansas. Willbros Engineers, Inc. is providing engineering and construction services for Overland Pass Pipeline Company which includes routing, environmental studies and regulatory filing activities over the course of the project. Inservice of the project is expected in 2008. UPDATE! Palomar Gas Transmission LLC, a newly formed joint venture of TransCanada Corporation and Northwest Natural Gas Company, has requested from the FERC the use of the pre-filing environmental process for the proposed Palomar Pipeline Project. The joint venture recently announced a proposal to build a natural gas pipeline that would serve growing markets in Oregon, the Pacific Northwest, and the western U.S. If approved, the new transmission line is scheduled to begin service in late 2011. Palomar was formed by TransCanada and NW Natural to design, construct, and own the Palomar pipeline. TransCanada and NW Natural are equal owners of the joint venture. TransCanada’s Gas Transmission Northwest System (GTN), headquartered in Portland, will operate the proposed pipeline. The partners are seeking a federal certificate to build and operate a pipeline extending approximately 220 miles from northwestern Oregon to north-central Oregon. The Palomar pipeline will connect TransCanada’s existing GTN System in central Oregon with NW Natural’s distribution system near Molalla, Oregon, approximately 30 miles southeast of Portland. NW Natural’s utility operations has agreed to contract for about 100 million cubic feet per day of capacity on the 36-inch-diameter pipeline. The White River Hub pipeline would extend about 7 miles from Questar Pipeline’s Greasewood, Colorado facilities to the nearby Enterprise Meeker natural gas processing complex. In addition to Questar Pipeline, the pipelines that are expected to be connected to the White River Hub are the Rockies Express Pipeline, owned by Kinder Morgan, Sempra and ConocoPhillips; Kinder Morgan’s TransColorado Gas Transmission Company; El Paso’s Wyoming Interstate Company and Colorado Interstate Gas Company; and the Williams-owned Northwest Pipeline Corporation. This system would allow shippers on these pipelines to access markets throughout the country. Under the terms of the MOU, Questar Pipeline will construct and operate the pipeline. Additionally, as foundation shippers, Enterprise has committed to 1.5 Bcf/d of firm capacity on the pipeline and Questar Pipeline has committed to 0.5 Bcf/d of firm capacity. An open season offering for the remaining firm capacity will be held immediately. Pending the results of the open season and regulatory approvals, the proposed pipeline is expected to be constructed in the summer of 2008 and be in service during the fall of 2008. UPDATE! Steckman Ridge, L.P. - The staff of the FERC will prepare an Environmental Assessment (EA) that will address the environmental impacts of the Steckman Ridge Storage Project. The Commission will use the EA in its decision-making process to determine whether or not to authorize the project. Steckman proposes to convert a depleted natural gas production field into a multi-cycle natural gas storage facility located in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. The proposed facility would have about 17.7 billion cubic feet (Bcf) total capacity (up to 12 Bcf would be working capacity and 5.7 Bcf would be base gas). The proposed project would include: removal

and/or abandonment of existing production field piping and aboveground equipment; conversion of 5 depleted production wells into storage wells; drilling and development of 18 new storage wells and construction of wellhead facilities; construction of a storage field pipeline network and associated aboveground facilities including launcher/receiver facilities and valve sites; and construction of one 9,000 horsepower compressor station, including a meter and regulator station, common launcher and receiver facility, and other associate appurtenances. The storage field piping network would include the Trunk Line 91 (about 3.13 miles of 16-inch diameter pipeline), Trunk Line 90 (about 4.36 miles of 16-inch diameter pipeline), and 23 well laterals totaling 3.6 miles of 6-inch, 8-inch, and 10-inch diameter pipeline. Steckman plans to file its certificate application in November 2007 and anticipates receiving a Commission certificate by April 2008. UPDATE! Texas Eastern Transmission, LP - The staff of the FERC will prepare an Environmental Assessment that will discuss the environmental impacts of the Cedar Bayou Lateral Project. Texas Eastern proposes to construct about 3.79 miles of 20-inch diameter pipeline in Chambers County, TX to provide up to 360,000 dekatherms per day of firm lateral line service to the existing Cedar Bayou Power Plant. Texas Eastern would also construct a metering and regulating station and other ancillary facilities (i.e., a pig launcher, pig receiver, and several valves) as a part of its Cedar Bayou Lateral Project. Proposed Projects and Updates FERC approval to begin construction of the Tuscarora 2008 Expansion project, involving construction and operation of a compressor station and appurtenances by Tuscarora Gas Transmission Company. Tuscarora will construct a new natural gas-fired compressor station referred to as the Likely Compressor Station which would consist of a single 5,731 horsepower gas turbine compressor package and appurtenances in Modoc County, California. Tuscarora will also install isolation and side valves on its mainline and a total of about 1,800 feet of suction and discharge pipeline to connect the compressor station to the mainline. The proposed project would permit the firm transportation of an additional 40,000 dekatherms per day of natural gas to markets in northern Nevada. Specifically, the project would enable Sierra Pacific Power Company to fuel its 514-megawatt Tracy Combined Cycle Power Plant which is currently under construction.

Canada UPDATE! Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P. announced that Kinder Morgan Canada has begun construction on the approximately C$443 million Anchor Loop project, the second phase of the Trans Mountain pipeline system expansion that will increase capacity on Trans Mountain from about 260,000 to 300,000 barrels per day (bpd). The project is expected to be completed in November 2008. Trans Mountain transports crude oil and refined products from Edmonton, Alberta, to marketing terminals and refineries in British Columbia and Washington state. Earlier this year Kinder Morgan Canada commissioned 11 new pump stations which boosted capacity on Trans Mountain from 225,000 to approximately 260,000 bpd. The pipeline has been operating at capacity since then.

NEW! Pacific Trail Pipelines Limited Partnership (PTP) announced the filing of an application for an Environmental Assessment Certificate for the proposed Kitimat to Summit Lake Pipeline Looping Project (KSL Project) with the British Columbia Environmental Assessment Office (BCEAO). The KSL Project entails the construction of approximately 462 kilometers of 36-inch diameter pipeline and compression facilities as required to enable PTP to accept delivery of up to 1 billion cubic feet per day of regasified liquefied natural gas (LNG) from a receiving terminal proposed by Kitimat LNG Inc. The KSL Project will provide users of the terminal with access to a diversity of gas markets across North America. The Environmental Assessment Certificate application for the KSL Project was prepared in accordance with the approved terms of reference and Section 11 Order previously issued for the KSL Project by the BCEAO. PTP is expecting a decision on the Environmental Assessment Certificate for the KSL Project near the end of the first quarter of 2008. PTP is a 50/50 partnership of Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. and Galveston LNG Inc., the parent company of Kitimat LNG Inc., and was formed for the purpose of developing the KSL Project. Kitimat LNG Inc. has received its provincial and federal permits and certificates for the Terminal. The KSL Project and the Terminal, the first of its kind to be located on the West Coast of Canada, are expected to commence operations in late 2010 subject to the satisfaction of a number of conditions, including obtaining LNG supply for the Terminal. PTP can give no assurances that these conditions will be satisfied or that construction of the KSL Project will proceed. Commission Approval of New, Expanded Natural Gas Facilities Includes LNG, Storage, Pipeline Projects On September 20, 2007, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approved four new or expanded natural gas facilities, including a new liquefied natural gas terminal (LNG) that will provide more than 2 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of natural gas per day to supply rising U.S. consumer demand. The Commission granted authorization for a new LNG terminal, pipeline and other related facilities proposed by Calhoun LNG at Port Lavaca in Calhoun County, Texas, and approved the expansion of the existing Elba Island LNG facility near Savannah, Georgia. The Commission also approved a new natural gas pipeline proposed by Southeast Supply Header LLC (SESH) that would provide service to customers in the southern and eastern United States. Finally, the Commission approved a new salt dome natural gas storage facility proposed by Tres Palacios Gas Storage, LLC, and approved the project sponsors’ request to charge market-based rates. “A robust energy infrastructure can provide reliability of supply at lower prices,” Commission Chairman Joseph T. Kelliher said. “A weak infrastructure can result in

higher prices, greater price volatility, lower supply reliability, and less effective competition. Today, we take a series of actions to strengthen our natural gas infrastructure.” The Commission adopted FERC staff recommendations to mitigate potential adverse environmental, safety and security concerns, and will impose several conditions on the approved projects. Summaries of the proposals follow. Calhoun LNG L.P. and Point Comfort Pipeline Company, L.P. The Commission granted authority to Calhoun LNG to construct and operate an onshore LNG import terminal that will have a send-out capacity of 1 Bcf per day. The company's affiliate, Point Comfort Pipeline, also is authorized to construct and operate nearly 27.1 miles of new 36inch diameter pipeline to transport the 1 Bcf of gas per day from the Calhoun LNG terminal to local and interstate markets including Formosa Hydrocarbons Company and Formosa Plastics Company, four intrastate pipelines and five interstate pipelines

including Florida Gas Transmission Company, Gulf South Pipeline Company, L.P., Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America, Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corp and Tennessee Natural Gas Company. The pipeline would end at a connection with Tennessee Gas approximately three miles southwest of the Town of Edna in Jackson County, Texas. The pipeline project is estimated to cost $62.6 million. The Commission ordered the Calhoun LNG and Port Comfort pipeline projects to be completed and ready for service within five years after its authorization order. Southern LNG, Inc., Elba Express Company, L.L.C. and Southern Natural Gas Company The Commission authorized Southern LNG to increase in two construction phases the storage capacity of the Elba Island LNG import terminal by 8.44 Bcf and increase its vaporization capacity by 900 million cubic feet (MMcf) of gas per day. The expanded facilities will provide service to Shell NA LNG LLC and BG LNG Services, LLV.

Among the facilities in Phase A, Southern LNG proposes to construct and operate a new 200,000 cubic meter (1.25 million barrels) tank having a storage capacity of 4.22 Bcf of LNG. The company also seeks to modify the existing unloading docks to accommodate larger LNG tankers and to facilitate the simultaneous unloading of two LNG ships. Southern LNG proposes to have the Phase A facilities available for service by June 1, 2010. In Phase B, Southern LNG proposes to construct an additional 200,000 cubic meter tank (or 1.25 million barrels) with a storage capacity of the remaining 4.22 Bcf of gas per day and install submerged combustion vaporizers with the capability of providing firm send-out capacity of 495 MMcf per day. Southern plans to place the Phase B facilities in service by December 31, 2012. Both Phase A and Phase B facilities will cost an estimated $509.2 million. The Commission also granted authority to Elba Express to construct and operate a new 36-inch diameter and 42-inch diameter pipeline extending from Port Wentworth, Georgia to interconnections with the interstate pipeline facilities of Transco in Georgia and South Carolina. Elba Express also is authorized to construct and operate a new 10,000 horsepower compressor station in Jenkins County,

Ga., to provide up to 1,175 MMcf per day of firm transportation from the Elba Island LNG terminal to interconnections to Transco's pipeline system. The Commission granted Southern Natural authority to transfer to Elba Express an undivided ownership interest of a volume equal to 1, 175 MMcf per day in Southern’s Twin 30s Pipeline facilities which extend from the Elba Island LNG terminal to an interconnection with Southern’s pipeline system in Port Wentworth, Georgia. The Commission conditionally authorized Southern to acquire an additional undivided interest in Elba Express' proposed pipeline facilities from Port Wentworth to Rincon, Georgia, equal to 500 MMcf per day. The authorization applies only if Southern proceeds with its Phase III Cypress Express Project and modifies the proposal to reflect certain facility modifications required by the Commission's order. If Southern decides not to proceed with the Cypress Pipeline expansion project, the Commission conditionally authorized Southern to acquire an undivided ownership interest in Elba Express' proposed pipeline facilities that would extend from Port Wentworth to Wrens, Georgia, equal to 55 MMcf per day.

Southeast Supply Header, LLC (SESH) and Southern Natural Gas Company The Commission granted authority to SESH and Southern to construct and operate 269 miles of new 42-inch and 36-inch diameter pipeline and related facilities that will transport up to 1.114 Bcf of gas per day in facilities that will begin at the Perryville Hub near Delhi, La., continue through Mississippi and terminate near Coden, Alabama. The project will transport gas from unconventional U.S. gas supplies including Barnett Shale, Bossier Sands and Arkoma and Fayetteville Shale, that will allow service to customers throughout the Southeast, Atlantic Coast and Northeastern U.S. through pipeline interconnections with nine natural gas companies. Customers receiving gas through the proposed SESH pipeline include Florida Power and Light, Progress Energy Florida, EOG Resources, Inc., and Tampa Electric Company. The Commission ordered SESH and Southern to complete the proposed facilities within one year of the issuance of its order. new salt dome natural gas storage facility in Matagorda County, Texas. The project will be capable of storing approximately 54 Bcf of gas, of which 36.4 Bcf will be used for working gas and 17.95 Bcf will be used as cushion gas. The proposed facility will be designed to allow cycling up to seven times per year, with a peak injection rate of 1 Bcf per day and a maximum withdrawal capability of 2.5 Bcf per day. Tres Palacios also proposes to construct and operate an estimated 40 miles of new pipeline that would extend from the salt dome storage facility to interconnections with Valero Natural Gas Pipeline Company, Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company, Transco, Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America, Gulf South Pipeline Company, LP, Crosstex Gulf Coast Transmission Ltd, Kinder Morgan Tejas Pipeline, Florida Gas Transmission Company, Channel Pipeline Company and Texas Eastern Transmission, L.P., Kinder Morgan Texas Pipeline and Central Texas Gathering System. The Tres Palacios project also would include the construction of a gas handling facility and the installation of 10 gas-fired compression units, each capable of generating 4,800 horsepower. The Commission ordered the facilities to be completed and available for service within one year of the date of its order.

Vector Pipeline L.P. Announces Plans to Further Expand Mainline System in 2009 On September 12, 2007, Vector Pipeline L.P. announced that it will request permission from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to expand its mainline natural gas transmission pipeline for the second time in two years. “While wrapping up our 2007 expansion, we were pleased to find robust interest in additional expansion clearly reflected by long-term agreements in our recent binding Open Season,” said Vector Pipeline President Craig R. Fishbeck. “This strong market demand encouraged us to draft plans to build one more compressor station and expand the Vector Pipeline by approximately 100 MMcf/d, with a proposed in-service date of Nov. 1, 2009. Adding another station will bring our system from its 2007 expanded capacity of about 1.2 Bcf/d up to 1.3 Bcf/d in 2009. As market interest continues to grow in the future, Vector still has the potential to increase capacity even further using economical compression expansion.” Preliminary engineering and environmental work is underway at the site location, Fishbeck said.

The Vector Pipeline – constructed in 2000 and currently expanding with two new compressor stations – includes 348 miles of mainline transmission between the Chicago Hub and the storage complex at Dawn, Ontario. Vector Pipeline L.P.’s system begins in Joliet, Ill., and terminates at the international border at St. Clair, Mich., where it interconnects with the Vector Pipeline Limited Partnership system, which provides service to the Dawn, Ontario, storage facilities. The system has multiple interconnections, including Alliance, Northern Border, Guardian, ANR, NIPSCO, Crossroads, Consumers Energy, MichCon, DTE Washington 10 Storage, Bluewater Gas Storage and Union Gas. Three power plants also are tied into the Vector system: Crete Energy Ventures, Kinder MorganJackson and Greenfield Energy Centre. “This approval is another major milestone for the Keystone Pipeline project. We’ve made significant financial commitments with suppliers, which will allow the project to proceed with construction in early 2008 and meet an in-service date of fourth quarter 2009,” says Hal Kvisle, TransCanada president and chief executive officer.

The 3,456-kilometre (2,148-mile) Keystone Pipeline will transport crude oil from Hardisty, Alberta to U.S. Midwest markets at Wood River and Patoka, Illinois and to Cushing, Oklahoma. The Canadian portion of the project involves the conversion of approximately 864 kilometres (537 miles) of existing Canadian Mainline pipeline facilities from natural gas to crude oil transmission service and construction of approximately 373 kilometres (232 miles) of pipeline, pump stations and terminal facilities at Hardisty, Alberta. The U.S. portion of the project includes construction of approximately 2,219 kilometres (1,379 miles) of pipeline and pump stations. The NEB approval relates to the initial design of the project to deliver 435,000 barrels per day to Patoka and Wood River. Subsequent to initial design, Keystone held a successful Open Season to expand the project to 590,000 barrels per day and extend its reach to Cushing. The Cushing delivery point is expected to be in service in late 2010. Keystone expects to file an application with the NEB in the fourth quarter of 2007 for approval to construct the expanded facilities. Applications for U.S. regulatory approvals at federal and state levels are proceeding.

Submar Announces New Management Team

Construction began in selected areas on the MinnCan Project at the end of August. The contractors selected to build the pipeline are Henkel's & McCoy, Inc. (H&M) and Minnesota Limited, Inc. H&M is a family-owned corporation, founded in 1923, with offices throughout the U.S., including in Lakeville, Minnesota. Minnesota Limited, which is headquartered in Rogers, Minnesota, is a family-owned and operated business since 1966 and is one of the Midwest's largest contractors serving the natural gas and petroleum industry.

The MinnCan Project route traverses approximately 304 miles of central Minnesota. The northern portion of the route - more than 40 percent of its total length - follows the existing Minnesota Pipe Line Company system, which begins in Clearbrook and extends south-southeast to the Twin Cities. To avoid heavy commercial and residential developments - as well as other environmental impact areas - the route's southern half is west and south of the Twin Cities until the pipeline reaches the Flint Hills Resources Refinery in Rosemount, Minnesota, in Dakota County. At that point, the route connects directly to the Flint Hills Resources Refinery and through existing pipeline facilities to the Marathon Petroleum Company's St. Paul Park Refinery.

Anthony says they’re currently working on plans to fit the ejectors on compressors across TransCanada’s system and plan to license the technology in order to market it widely to the gas transmission industry. TransCanada Invents New Gas Technology TransCanada’s Environment group, in partnership with NOVA Chemical’s Research and Technology Centre, have invented a device to catch and reclaim natural gas (methane) that always leaks from dry seals in compressor stations. Known as a supersonic ejector, the device fits onto TransCanada’s centrifugal pipeline compressors where it captures leakage from the dry gas seals and then recompresses the gas and ejects it back into the system. A greenhouse gas, the captured methane would otherwise be vented into the atmosphere. The ejector system is a low cost method of reducing natural gas emissions from pipeline compressors as it consumes no energy and has minimal maintenance. “It’s an exciting development for TransCanada and potentially the oil and gas industry as a whole,” says Anthony Tse, program manager, Technology Development. “We will fit these ejectors to all compressors with dry gas seals in our natural gas system, but the technology also has wide application for other pipelines shipping a variety of gases.”

Heard On The Line Rick Cheves writes - Just finished reading the September issue online since I am in Nigeria for Shell Petroleum Development Corporation and mail is out of the question. As usual the magazine is great and full of good work at home - looks like for the next few years. I am looking after Saipem as they build several pipelines coniciding with a gas plant being built to feed a new power plant. It is a different scenario for me being on the client side as opposed to the contractor side for so many years. I was saddened to hear of the passing of two old friends in the September issue. Uncle Bud Morgan who I worked with several times over the years but more especially with him in Oman in the early 80s for three years with Willbros. Scotty Reynolds will be missed as well. We last worked together on the original Kern River Line in 91 at St. George, Utah for Zachary. Scotty was a good friend and sure a good dozer hand as he held me on a few hills out there while I was digging ditch on Aubrey Garrett's spread. One fond memory of Scotty was when he, his wife and I went to Vegas to see George Jones, Merle Haggard, and Conway Twitty at Bally's. Got a kick out of the nicknames in the magazine - I have one to submit to you. Bob “Boo Boo” Shaunessy from Topeka Kansas - worked on several jobs overseas with him. I am sure some of the old Willbros hands will remember Boo Boo. My son Cody and daughter-in-law Cindy are up on the Latex spread in Kansas working in the ROW. It is good to see so much work and from what I can tell it should last more than a few years and that is good as well. Richard Wagner writes - Eugene Yaremko, who I first had the good luck to work with back in 1971 on the Trans Alaska Pipeline design and I are still keeping in touch. Since the Trans Alaska we have worked on other projects and his company employed me in Bangladesh for two years. For me life has often proved to be an incorrigible practical joker: Back in 1972, one of those “jokes” allowed me to be made Task Force Manager at Pipeline Technologist, (PLT) by George Lipsett, VP (now lives in Calgary). One day I had been shopping during lunch and when returning I had a new “Plumber's Friend” sitting on my desk. Sort of sarcastically, George asked what that “thing” was for, I replied: “Considering the job you’ve just given me I’ll need it.” “My” Team of 80-85 WORKED 84 ++ hours a week. I consider them to be some of the finest, hard working folks ever to walk this planet! We were the only Design Team to meet Aleyska’s unreasonable deadlines and I still don’t know how they did it!!! When we finished our assignment, I hosted a huge Bar B-Q for them at my home that lasted 2 days. Memory fades but I remember serving about 120 pounds of Bar B-Q, 20 pounds of ranch style beans, 20 loaves of home made sour dough bread, about three gallons of potato salad with all of the fixings, and a few spirits ..... I was the cook and enjoyed every second getting it all ready. Our swimming pool was also a great attraction, especially as the party progressed. I still don’t know what happened when the back door leading to the pool exploded and 3 engineers “fell” through it into the pool - the door went with them also. My pipeline career has been great and the folks I’ve worked with made it that way!! --- Eugene “Gene” Yaremko and I have been discussing the interest in having a reunion with some of the people we worked with on the Trans Alaska project. We know everyone receives odd and unbelievable emails - but we recently received this one and it appears to be true and thought we would pass it along. A couple living on a lake in Texas recently looked out at the lake to see a ball bobbing around out in the water. It was then that they realized it was actually a large catfish with a ball stuck in his mouth. The fish was exhausted after trying to get this ball out of his mouth and the couple was able to get close enough to cut a slit in the ball with a knife and deflate the ball.

Deaths Services for Orville Dean Doll, 70, were held September 5, 2007. Mr. Doll was born January 25, 1937, in Yale, Oklahoma, to Carl and Gertie (Pettit) Doll. He died Saturday, September 1, 2007, in Norman. He was a longtime pipeline welder who traveled extensively in all of the United States and also spent time in South America. Mr. Doll was a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed playing Dominoes, horse breeding and racing, and joking with his pipeline buddies. His exceptional work ethic was passed on to his children. He never met a stranger. Mr. Doll is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Betty; two brothers, Norbert Doll and Wayne Doll; sons, Terry Doll and Alex Dodd; daughters, LaDeana Burell and Gail Johnson; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends. Robert E. Romdall of Overland Park, KS passed away August 31, 2007 in Appleton City, Missouri. Robert worked for Skelly Oil Co. for 10 years and retired from Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Co. after 25 years of service. Pat McCaffrey, 67, of Lebanon, New Jersey, died September 15, 2007 from inuries suffered in a pipeline construction accident near Sloatsburg, NY. He was born in County Cavan, Ireland on March 3, 1940, a son of Patrick and Margaret O’Donoghue McCaffrey. He came to the U.S. in 1949 and lived in Flemington before moving to Clinton Township in 1975. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator with Local 825 Operating Engineers in Springfield. He was a union worker for the past 45 years and was an expert sideboom operator. Mr. McCaffrey is survived by his wife, Darlene McCaffrey; two sons, Shane and his wife, Michelle of Bangor, PA and Jared of Clinton Township; two brothers, Phillip and his wife, Josephine of Flemington and Joseph Patrick and his wife, Maureen, also of Flemington; two sisters, Mary Perehinys and husband, Robert of Ringoes and Brigid Pfenninger of Flemington; an uncle, Christy McCaffrey of Flemington; and many nieces, nephews and several great-nieces and grand-nephews. Funeral services were held in the Califon United Methodist Church. Burial followed in Mountain View Cemetery. Memorial donations can be sent to the church, Box 305, or the Califon Fire Company, Box 178, both Califon 07830 or to the High Bridge Emergency Squad, Box 14, High Bridge, NJ 08829. Services for Robert Eldridge Faircloth, 96, of Carthage, were held September 4, 2007, at Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Forest Helton and the Rev. J.C. Henderson officiating. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery in Rusk County. Born February 15, 1911, he was a World War II Navy and Coast Guard veteran and a retired pipeline and production worker. Audrey Lou Burke peacefully passed away as she took her afternoon nap on August 4, 2007, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. During the early years of marriage, she and her husband traveled with their children many, many miles to various states across the East coast with his pipeline construction work. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Vestal Burke; two daughters, Myrl Virginia Kemp and Linda Darlene Morrow; eight grandchildren; eleven greatgrandchildren; two brothers; and many nieces, nephews, one brother-in-law, sisters-in-law and many friends. Lawrence E. Schreiber, 85, of Soldier, died August 29, 2007 in Topeka, KS. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII aboard the USS Randolph. He was a farmer/stockman and worked for Michigan Wisconsin Pipeline near Havensville, KS for 25 years. Robert J. McCall, 63, passed away August 26, 2007, at his home. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carol McCall; two children, Kimberly Motill and Michael McCall; three grandchildren; his parents, Robert and Julia McCall; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of American Legion Post #82, and a retired employee of Buckeye Pipeline, with 36 years of service. He enjoyed helping others who needed a hand. Jack A. Conner, founder of Conner Construction Company, passed away August 25, 2007 in his home. He was a long time resident of Odessa, TX and Midland, TX. He met and married Alma Cook in 1941 in Oklahoma City. 32

Together they moved to San Francisco to support the war efforts where he helped build aircraft carriers. After the war, he went to work for Phillips Petroleum and was transferred to Hobbs, NM, then to Odessa where he formed Conner Construction Company. He was a co-founder of Rocky Mountain Contractors Association. He was an active member of the Chuck Wagon Gang, # 955 Masonic Lodge- 32nd degree, and Shriner, West Texas Golf Association, First Baptist Church of Midland, and served as a Board Member of the Permian Basin Oil Show. He was known as “Mr. Pipeline” to many in the pipeline industry. He is survived by his wife, Alma Conner; two sons, Michael Conner and Gerald Conner of Houston; a daughter, Jill Cox, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and Oreo, the cat. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Home Hospice, 901 W. Missouri, Midland, Texas 79701 or to Hospice of Midland, PO Box 2621, Midland, Texas 79702. Elmer Newell “Bud” Free, 82, passed away on August 25, 2007. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-1945 during WWII in the South Pacific on the U.S.S. Stephen Potter. He retired after 36 years from Tenneco Gas Pipeline Division. He was a dedicated and active member of First Baptist Church of Natchitoches for over 50 years. Jerry Wayne Davis, 62, of Marshall, TX passed away August 23, 2007, in Marshall. Jerry Wayne was born July 1, 1945, in Marshall, to Elzie “Sonny” William Davis and Nellrene Grimmer Davis. He married Elease Goode June 8, 1973, in Marshall. He was a pipeliner for Local No. 798 and a Baptist. Jerry was a member of the American Legion No. 267 and was football fan, especially of the Texas Longhorns. He is survived by his wife, Elease Goode Davis; mother, Nellrene Holt; four daughters, Angie McTee, Jeri Lynn Watkins, Jennifer Hayes, and Dusti Huffman; one brother; two sisters; grandchildren, Jaron McTee, Brennan Watkins, Jaci Watkins, Jared Hayes, Dustan Hayes, Lexi Hayes, Brandon Davis-Jones and Rhyleigh Simmons; five stepgrandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Jess Lowery passed away August 14, 2007. He was born in Bellingham on January 19, 1924 and was raised on San Juan Island. Jess worked for the Trans Mountain Oil Pipeline and retired after more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, loved the outdoors and nature. He was a veteran of WWII, a proud Marine, and a member of the VFW. Marvin Clemons, more commonly known as “Pee Wee” passed away on August 6, 2007. He was born on June 15, 1922 in Yale, OK. He was a WWII Veteran, a member of Mason Lodge #169 for 56 years in Crystal Lake, Ill, a member of the Operating Engineers Union #428, and a member of The Fraternal Order of the Eagles. He worked on the Alaskan Pipeline. Pee Wee is survived by his brother Bill Clemons and long standing friend, Gina. His wife Emily preceeded him. Paul E. Jackson, 84, of Fairplain, formerly of Clendenin, died August 5, 2007 after a long illness. He was vice president and majority owner of Jackson Pipeline Construction Company of Clendenin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II and he was a member of the Davis Creek Church of the Nazarene. Ronnie Wade Bichsel, 38, died August 5, 2007, at his home. He pipelined for Flint Energy where he was lead welder. Services for Jerry Wayne Gray, 68, of Henderson, TX were held September 14, 2007, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel of Henderson, with Scott Parton and James Stroud officiating. Burial followed in Rusk County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Gray died September 10, 2007, in Tyler, TX. Born March 30, 1939, in Henderson, he was a lifelong Henderson resident, pipeline superintendent for Gregory & Cook Construction Co. and member of Southside Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Regina Moler Gray; daughter, De Ann Parton; son, Patrick Gray; brother, Jimmy Gray; and sister, Anna Jane Arthus.
