Observation stage. Name of the student’s teacher: Fabricio araya. Name of school: Nueva Era Siglo XXI. Number of students: 27. Date: may 12.

Class: 4 ½.

1.- The school it’s located in curauma, avenida cardinal samore 1850, near the most populated areas. Most of students who assist to the school, live near so they just walk to get there. School’s director name is Patricio cifuentes, and the u.t.p chief is Viviana Cifuentes. Their rules try to make students more responsible, most of them are behavioural rules, inside and outside the school, and of course there are personal hygiene and discipline rules. 2.- The classroom in which I attend, has a great atmosphere, respectful and very quiet. The students have a very close and good relationship with my guide teacher, so their behaviour is most of times really fine. They work in a good way, they pay attention, of course that time to time they make a little noise and start talking, but they know how to get to work when the teacher ask them to; They have a good engagement level. The classroom is big enough for the students, they have their space and they have also place to leave their things and to move around. They sit in couples, three rows of them. The boar in the room is located in the front. The room is equipped with the normal things, enough chairs, desks, the board, if they need to use data show or computers, they move to the computers lab. 3.- The classroom routine starts with the salute of the teacher, and of course, mine. He take the attendance while they are talking and walking around in the room. After that he makes them to sit. The teacher always starts by writing in the board what are the objectives of the day. He goes straight after that to make some activities, talking with the students or with some audio material. He is always directly working with them keeping them as active as he can. Finally he presents some theory and concludes the class by asking if everybody understood what was taught. 4.- Most of the learners have a good level of motivation. I think this is because of three main factors. One, is that they have a good relationship with the teacher, and they are not afraid to ask when they don’t understand, and also they have a lot of respect to him. Another important factor, is that the teacher is always doing activities, talking to the students, making them to interact. He tries to keep them active, not to be just writing in their chairs just listening to him. Anyway, maybe other final important point, is that most of them finally understand the lessons. That’s what make a learner want to study the subject sometimes. The students sometimes expect the teacher to do the work, but in the end they do it by themselves. Sometimes without even noticing it, because the real work is in every word they speak in the classroom. The most important way in this class for learning is the group work. They really like to work in groups, and most of times their behaviour is really nice. They know how to respect each others ideas, and how to express themselves. Finally, between the activities that I have observed, the ones who like more to the students are which are related to their own normal life. The ones who are closer to their reality. Like activities related to the music they like, or movies or tv shows they enjoy. A

incredibly efficient way to teach, is to fuse what the students like and the theory of the lessons.
