Rotarians @ Work Day

We are a “Relay for Life” Sponsor On July 11, and 12 the American Cancer Society will host its annual “Relay for Life” walkathon. Our club is a Bronze Sponsor which will give us some much desired public recognition as well as an opportunity to provide great community service. At this writing Rick Davis and John Shannon will each walk for 12 hours!!--so we really need more team members. Stay tuned for more details.

Coming Events

Apr. 25: Rotarians at Work Day,

May 4: Board Meeting, Hickory Pit, 5:30 PM May 11: Dinner Service @ EHC

This coming Saturday, April 25th, the Rotary Club of Campbell will join the thousands of other Rotary Clubs around the world by taking part in an international “Rotarians at Work Day.”

This is an outstanding opportunity for all of us to put on our work or garden clothes and report to the main parking lot of the Campbell Library at the corner of Civic Center Drive and Harrison at 9:00 AM. We will spend the better part of the next 5 hours helping to spruce up the City’s Volunteer Garden.

Community Service Chair, Neil Jacobson has taken the lead on this event and has been in communication with the City of Campbell to help set up this Saturday’s event. We will be met by Frank, who is the leader of the Ainsely May 21: District Assembly @ SJ DoubleTree Hotel

House Volunteers and a work supervisor for the City of Campbell.  The work will include planter repair, fence repair and painting and basic gardening chores.  We will be provided with direction, all materials and lunch.   Wear work clothes and a hat.  Bring sunscreen.  We will work until 2 PM.  Stay for the whole time or for as long as you can.  It should be a blast. Meanwhile, other Area 8 Rotary Clubs will be picking up litter along Highway 9 between Saratoga & Los Gatos, and clubs on every continent will be working to improve their local areas.
