Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to do the following: 1. Recognize the different musical instrument of Korea 2. Identify the different musical instrument of Korea 3. Perform an improvised musical instruments that are similar to the Musical Instruments of Korea

Subject Matter A. Topic: Korea (Musical Instruments) B. Materials: Laptop, Projector, Speakers, PPT Presentation, Visual Aids C. References: Music & Arts of Asia (Grade 8 Module)
Motivation: The teacher will group the class into 5. The teacher will play recordings of different instruments of Korea. Each group will listen to it and they will classify whether it is String (Chordophone), Wind (Aerophone), Percussion (Membranophone). The group who will have the most number of correct answer will be the winner.
A. Activating Prior Knowledge After the activity, the teacher will now relate the activity to the lesson. The teacher will activate the prior knowledge of the students through the following questions: 1. Are you familiar with these recordings? 2. What do you think is this all about?
B. Acquiring New Knowledge To follow is the discussion about: 1. Musical instruments of Korea
C. Application
Activity #1. After the discussing, the teacher will divide the class into 5 groups. The teacher will play audio or audiovisual presentations and each group must identify the instrument that has been played in the presentation. The group that will have the most number of correct answers will be the winner.
D. Assessment After the group activity, the students will now have an individual activity. The teacher will show pictures of the different musical instruments of Korea. The students will name the instrument and they will also identify whether it is Membranophone, Chordophone, Aerophone.
III.
Evaluation
Activity #2. The teacher will now let the students go back to their groupings and each group will perform using musical instruments or sound sources that can be used to produce sounds that are similar to the sound of the musical instruments of Korea. CRITERIA: Creativity: 20% Relevance to the topic: 20% Participation/Cooperation: 10% Performance: 50% Total of: 100% Assignment For the assignment, the students will have an advance reading about Vocal Music of East Asia.
