MSA Review Grade 6 Week 1 Part B: My stem-and-leaf plot is correct, because the stems are the digits for the tens and hundreds place. Then across from each stem, I have the leaves, which are the digits in the ones place for each of the data points. If Monica burns 172 calories on her next workout, the stem-andleaf plot would need two more stems. The plot would need 17 and 18 for stems. I would need to add the stem of 17 because those are the digits in the tens and hundreds place for the new data point. I would also need a stem of 18, because previously the lowest stem was 19, and even though there is no data point in the 180’s, you can not skip a stem.
