Jargon

Description

Slide

Basic unit of a presentation, which may contain numerous slides. Each slide in a presentation is equivalent to a page of a document, workbook, or database record.

Placeholder

Predefined area outlined on a slide, containing slide text, bulleted lists, and objects such as graphs, tables, and charts.

AutoLayout

Preformatted layouts that contain object placeholders.

Maters

Layouts that contain formats for text, bullets, placeholder alignment, headers/footers, and backgrounds.

Templates

Professionally developed slide designs that you can apply to presentations to give a consistent look to all slides in a presentation. Placeholder
