At the end of the module, students should be able to produce folders and subfolders

Activity 1: Creating Folder 1. Click Start on the taskbar, click My Documents.

2. My Documents window will appear.

3. Click File on the Menu Bar, choose New then click Folder.

4. New Folder icon will appear in My Documents window.

5. Type TUGASAN as the folder name.

6. If you cannot name the folder, right click the New Folder, then click Rename.

7. Type TUGASAN to replace the folder name.

8. Now you have successfully created a folder named TUGASAN. 9. Repeat step 1 to 7 to create two folders in My Documents. Name the folders as LITERACY and COMPUTER. 10. The created folders should look as below.

Activity 2 : Creating Subfolder 1. 2. 3.

Open My Documents window, then double click LITERACY folder. The LITERACY folder window will appear. Click right anywhere in the folder.

Select New then click Folder.

New Folder will be created in LITERACY. Name the folder as Word.

Word is the subfolder of the folder LITERACY. Create a new subfolder name Hardware in folder COMPUTER. The new subfolder will look as shown below.

As an exercise, create two subfolders in Hardware and name it as Input and Output.

Activity 3: Renaming Folder 1.

Open My Documents window. Double click LITERACY folder, then right click Word subfolder. Click Rename.

The folder name Word will be highlighted, then replace the subfolder name to Excel.

Your subfolder will look as shown below.

Activity 4: Copying Folder 1.

Open LITERACY folder in My Documents, then right click Excel subfolder. Click Copy.

Open COMPUTER folders. Right click inside the folder, then click paste.

The Excel folder will be pasted in COMPUTER folder and will look as shown below.

Activity 5: Moving Folder 1.

Right click Start on the taskbar then click Explore.

Click Folders icon to view the Folders in the left windowpane.

Click Folders icon

Click My Documents. All file and folders in My Documents will appear in the right windowpane.

Double click the COMPUTER folder to show the content of the folder as shown below.

Click on Hardware folder. Press the mouse button then drag the folder to LITERACY folder in left windowpane. Release the mouse button.

Now,the Hardware folder in the COMPUTER folder is moved to LITERACY folder. Click LITERACY folder to view the content.

Activity 6 : Deleting Folder 1. Open My Documents window. Right click COMPUTER folder, then click Delete.

2. When the Confirm Folder Delete dialog box appears, click Yes to delete the folder and its subfolder.

3. Now, your COMPUTER folder is deleted from My Documents.
