Presiding Officer: Dawn Kimberly Cachuela Note Bookkeeper: Joann J. Fuertes Agenda: •
Balik-aral Project
•
Fun Run ’08 The meeting immediately started with the discussion of the agenda.
Balik-aral Project: There are six beneficiaries of the balik-aral project: four schools in Marilog (Maluan, East Marahan, Kidali, and Ladian), and two schools in Davao City (Bucana and Zonta). A total of 3,000 students could benefit from this project.
It was agreed by the body that the fund to be use for this project would be from the Fun Run ’08. Fun Run ’08: Ms. Cachuela asked the body to think of a theme for this year’s fun run. Mr. Abrio suggested the theme: Fun Run Book ‘toh! since the proceeds of this activity will go to the balik-aral project. The suggestion was agreed by the body. The target date for the 3-km fun run is on July 06 or July 13. It was also agreed by the body to have either People’s Park or Magsaysay Park as the assembly area. The present board members are then divided into three groups. Each group was assigned to a specific task. The first group was tasked to make the objectives; the second group was for the activity’s rationale; and the last group was for the structure of the activity. The body was then reminded of their tasks as part of the research, program, and finance committees. Members of the research committee were assigned for all of the communication letters, certificates, and numbers of the participants. The program committee was given the job of negotiating with the heads of the aforementioned parks (Magsaysay and People’s parks) and TMC, the gym instructors, and participants of the short program thereafter. The finance committee was also the marketing committee. They are the ones who would look for sponsors. They are given one week to prepare for their budget proposal. The group was reminded to present the project and budget proposals on Wednesday, May 21, 2008. There having no further concerns, the meeting was adjourned at 3:00 p.m. Minutes taken by: Joann J.
