Mean- To find the mean of a set of numbers add up all the numbers in the set and divide that by the number of data items. Ex. 1, 3,5,7,11,13 1+3+5+7+11+13=30 Mean=30/6=5

Median- The number in an ordered set that is in the middle in the case of an odd number of numbers. Ex 1. Of odd number of items in the set (7): 1, 5, 12, 19,24,34,39 In the case of an even number of numbers, you find the two middle numbers and find their mean Ex 2. Of even number of items in the set (8): 1, 5, 12, 19, 24, 34, 39, 47.

We need to find the mean of numbers 19 and 24, which is (19+24)/2=21.5= median Mode- The number in a set that occurs most frequently. 2, 1, 9, 3, 2, 7, 6, 4, 2, 6, 2 Mode=2 because it occurs most often in the set
