Areas of Development - Sept 09 • MMU – CPD/PPD • SHD students – HE experience/support with diploma delivery • Enrichment – Industrial/Commercial/Public sector placements (with clearly identified outcomes) • 09-10: PCET ITT students will have joint Professional Studies sessions with Secondary cohort for – leading to shared understanding of the key issues & to provide opportunities for collaboration – particularly in vocational /applied learning context

• All PCET students have placement experience of teaching in a vocational learning context • CPD opportunities in placements to attend updating sessions on new qualifications • Some assignment work includes knowledge and understanding of current reforms

Challenges • Placements: Gateway One: Sept 08 SHD providers reluctant to take Trainees • Collaboration: feedback from SHD Trainees indicates initial problems, e.g. pupil/assessment information, transport problems = impact on ITT experience • Links with ‘Partners’
