1.Introduction On some occasions, a user connected to a Citrix server may experience an issue. In order to solve his issue, sometimes the only solution is to reset his session on the server. In order to do this, the user can contact his local service desk and request his session to be reset. This document is intended to the market’s service desk and explains how to perform the reset of the session.

2.Prerequisites The Service Desk analyst who wants to perform the reset needs the following items: •

the ICA client installed on the analyst’s PC must be configured for his adm account as per the document: M_04_Configuring ICA client for EURCTXFarm.doc.



his adm account must be member of the following groups: o

XX: CTXFarmUsers 1

o

EUR: CTXFarmSupport Read-Only CMC and Reset Sessions 2

3.Procedure Start the Citrix ICA Client:

Double-click on the EURCTXFarm Application Set:

Double click on the Farm Management folder:

Then, start the Citrix Management Console by double-clicking its icon:

Then, you should be able to access the CMC:

The next step is to locate the session that the analyst wants to reset. Therefore, you must browse the Servers tree, locate the server group or the server and then the session:

Once you have located the session, right-click on it and choose Reset:

The console will ask you a confirmation. Click on Yes:

The session will reset within a few seconds.
