LOST What do you do when you world crashes around you? When everything you believed in falls apart? The truth you’re told Is so bitter, You can’t swallow. Loneliness swirls around you; Drags you into a chasm. Falling, Falling, It’s free falling. Nothing to hold you back, Nothing to look forward to. Swept into a tunnel With an ever-escaping light at its end, You wonder if it’s worth all the chase. Gloomy shadows lurking around, Familiar, Yet strangely distant. Reaching out futilely for hands Which once welcomed. It’s despairingly dark, You lie there accused and broken. Floundering. Crying out. Drowning in a vortex you can’t control. You bleed for love, Yet friendship and love are what That made the gnashes. The only thing that comforts you is that Forever is just going to end.
