Loading Scenario
The formula car can output 50 ft-lbs of torque at the drive gear. We run a 36 to 14 gear ratio as a final drive. So that gives us a torque of 19.44 ft-lbs. The force that generates this torque acts at 3.75in from the center of the rear drive shaft. Assuming that we are in a scenario were this force is transferred through the four wheel mount holes, output a picture of the stress distribution of the part given. The way to do this is to load each of the wheel mount holes with the load you calculate. DO NOT DISTRIBUTE THE LOAD OVER THE FOUR HOLES. Each hole should have the total load calculated applied to it. Your constraints should be on three matching tripod loading surfaces (shown in picture). Please output a picture, send me a picture and in your email tell me what the safety factor of the part is, assuming it is made of 7075-T6 Aluminum.
