Bridge Academy for Success Mission Statement We will provide a bridge for a new generation of immigrant students and facilitate their transition towards becoming proficient English language learners. The Bridge Academy will provide a learning environment enabling them to reach their full intellectual potential and develop the necessary literacy, critical thinking, problem solving and information management skills that are necessary to succeed in the 21st century. Through the collaborative and conscientious efforts of a dedicated staff, students, parents, and a supportive community, we will add another successful chapter to the American experiment reaffirming that our ingenuity, diversity, tolerance and humanity are truly a beacon of hope for the world.

Native Language Arts/ ESL Classroom The Native Language Arts and ESL classroom has various charts displayed on the walls. The charts are mainly guidelines to facilitate comprehension of how various tasks should be completed. Some of the most important charts covering the classroom’s wall space are as follows ; • Pared de Palabras- Also known as the word wall • Heading guideline • Libros de Espanol- Spanish Library • What do readers do to figure out the new words and text meaning?

Native Language Arts / ESL Classroom

Social Studies Classroom 

Within the social studies classroom one will find various pictures displaying the current theme of Greek Mythology. Students have learned Greek culture by analyzing stories and learning about Greek art. Students have learned many literary skills, critical thinking skills, as well as problem solving skills through: .Learning what myths are. .What is the structure of a myth? .Creating their personal myths.



The students’ myth creation, painting of their God/ Goddess on a vase, and a written myth about that God/ Goddess, was used as an assessment criterion.

C.S.D 30 Mission Statement The mission of C.S.D 30 is to provide our children with a “world class education” in a safe, nurturing and exciting environment. This will be accomplished through the collaborative efforts of involved parents, supportive community and dedicated staff. Conclusion In conclusion the Bridge Academy as well as the Science and Technology Academy both exhibit examples of linguistic representational wall space. Students will continue to learn critical thinking skills, literacy, information management skills and making meaning out of context through content areas provided by the standards and schools staff. The linguistic wall spaces represent the educational consistency in both academies and their C.S.D. (Community School District) 30s mission of providing an educational environment that entails parental involvement, a supportive community, and a professional dedicated 14 staff.
