Lgu Conducts Guidance Career Orientation

LGU Conducts Guidance Career Orientation by Enrico S. Paler The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Malitbog, under the administration of Mayor George Go, in cooperation with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Provincial Office, conducted a Career Orientation for fourth year students on March 16, 2008 at the School’s Students’ Center. Mr. Ranulfo Capilitan, the Human Resource, Management Officer of LGU, Malitbog, led the orientation of more than 80 graduating students. He discussed the important background in choosing career based on current demands. Together with Mr. Capilitan were Engr. Mario Tictic, Senior Labor and Employment Officer Southern Leyte Provincial Field Office, Dr. Elvera Cabarrubias, the Municipal Health Officer of Malitbog. They gave a thorough understanding to all the participants on the importance of making a wise decision in the future. The activity was aimed at promoting gainful employment opportunities; develop human resources; protect workers and promote their welfare; and maintain industrial peace.
