General instructions on removing the LCD screen from your laptop The below example is just a generalization of how to identify a LCD Screen. Your make and model laptop may vary slightly.
1. Remove the screw covers from the front bezel of the LCD display. These are typically stickers which are the same color as the bezel. 2. Remove the screws. Once the bottom screws are removed, try not to fold the cover open or closed as the stiffness of the LCD assembly has now been weakened.
3. Once the screws have been removed, gently unclip the front LCD bezel in a clockwise manner by inserting your fingers between the LCD screen and the plastic bezel, starting from the lower left, (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f) and (g). It should snap off.
4. Once the bezel has been removed, there may be screws holding the screen to the rear side of the bezel. If they are there, remove them. Once this is done, lay the screen onto the keyboard and
disconnect the (a) LCD data cable and (b) bulb cable from the actual LCD display.
5. Identify markings for the make and model of the LCD Display, here, LG Electronics LP 141X2.
