1 Tell me about yourself. I’m Angeline Bruce and I have over 2 years’ experience as a Civil Engineer. Some of my responsibilities have included completing different projects, organizing problem and meeting with board members. My strengths are time management, communication, and computer skills. I am an individual who thrives on a challenge and enjoys giving excellent service. 2 Why should I hire you? I have the skills, experience and education needed for this role including a background in different projects, strong client service skills and a diploma in engineering. My previous employers have all commented on my strong commitment to getting the job done. Based on the research I’ve completed, this company is an industry leader with exciting plans for the future. It would be a privilege to work in a reputable company such as yours. When I read about the opening, I found that my skills and qualifications matched the requirements, and I could make use of the experience I gained in the past 2 years. Furthermore, I believe your company will allow me to grow both professionally and as a person. 4 Why did you leave your last job? After two years with DPWH, I felt that I had gained all the skills and experience possible from that role. I am now looking for a growth opportunity where I can take on more responsibility and add value to a company. 5 Where do you see yourself in five years? Within 5 years, I would like to become the very best engineer your company has on staff. I want to work towards becoming the expert that others rely on. Hopefully, this will allow me to take on greater responsibilities with the company if the opportunity arises. 6 What are your salary expectations? Considering my background in the field, I believe a fair salary range for the Civil Engineer would be between 30,000 and 40,000 a month. How has your education prepared you for your career? My education has focused on not only the learning the fundamentals, but also on the practical application of the information learned within those classes. For example, I played a lead role in a class project where we gathered and analyzed best practice data from this industry.

What do you know about our company? I know it is one of the fastest growing companies in Philippines and has many branches in different region. The work environment is pleasant and people feel proud to be a part of the company. I have read it provides full support to its employees on a professional front and offers many career growing opportunities. I know it is currently working on a large-scale project in Metro Manila. 7 What is your greatest weakness? I have had trouble in the past with planning and prioritization. However, I’m now taking steps to correct this. I just started using a pocket planner 8 What makes a good team player? For me a great team player is constantly reliable, can communicate with confidence, displays genuine commitment, and be able to adapt quickly and easily. 9 Is there anything that you would like to ask me? 
