MAUNGATUROTO PUBLIC LIBRARY BOOK OF THE MONTH FOR APRIL “A THOUSAND SPLENDID SUNS” by Khaled Hosseini
A wonderful story of two women who survive terrible adversity with a huge sacrifice by one for the other. Also woven into the story is the history of Afghanistan from the 1950s to the Soviet invasion and from there to the Taliban rule. Also for those interested in having a few chickens a new book “Keeping Chickens” is available and tells you all you need to know about their care. CHECK OUT the latest Dargaville exchange of books – non-fiction, fiction and children’s books.
