Introduction
A
JCB Generators have the ability to be able to start and stop from a remote location for example within a control room through a switch. Follow the procedure to enable the remote start switch connection. K Procedure ( T 1).

Connector X3 Connect the switch wires to terminal 5 and terminal 1. K Fig 2. ( T 1).
Procedure 1
Make the machine safe.

Isolate the battery and mains supply.
Note: The battery and power must be isolated before opening the terminal box. 3
Remove the terminal cover to get access to the remote start X3 terminals. K Fig 1. ( T 1).

To check the parameter, enter the password 1911 and go to:
Note: The ‘tick’ symbol will be removed when the switch is in its open state and the generator will stop with a programmed cool down period.
– Menu>2>Parameters>6>Programming I/O> – Parameter 9: Change to ‘6’ (This controls Start Inhibit)
Note: The machine will not start automatically if a ‘tick’ symbol appears next to the remote start inhibit (IA).
– Parameter 10: Change to ‘5’ (This controls ‘Remote Start’) – The pre-start 60 seconds delay time is adjustable at ‘TIMES’, parameter 10. 5
Switch the controller into automatic mode and scroll up as follows. K Fig 3. ( T 2).

When the switch is closed the status should change as follows. K Fig 4. ( T 2).

Make sure that the ‘tick’ symbol appears next to the remote start (AE) input when the switch connection is made. K Fig 4. ( T 2).
