Overview of iPod Touch (5th Generation) iPod Touch is one of the latest Apple’s iPod model. It comes with a packaged USB cable, instruction booklet and Apple logo stickers.
iPod touch is an easy to use device and has many features. One can use the mobile device to store and view images, play music and access internet. In addition, an 8 year old child can use the device to take notes, keep calendar and contact files, use the scientific calculator, learn a language, learn about history or review some maths facts. Moreover, child can connect the device to a projector to display a presentation, games with the help of an AV cable. One can also use the device to record any kind of an audio, ranging from a poem, readings or a favourite music. Here are the basic guide on how to operated and use a newly acquired iPod Touch.
How to charge your iPod Touch After purchasing your iPod touch, you must charge it fully before you start using it. This is easy and involve the following few steps. 1. Obtain the charger from the package and connect as shown below. Fix the larger end into a power socket.

How to turn on/off an iPod Touch Once you fully charge your device, follow the following steps to switch on the device 1. On the upper right of the of the iPod’s casing, there is a sleep/wake button. 2. Press and hold the button. ‘A slider to power’ will pop out at the top of the screen. 3. Slide right to power off the device. Your device is now off. 4. To power on the mobile, press and hold the same button. An apple logo will appear on the screen. Once it does, release the button. 5. Enter the password or draw the pattern of your phone.

Setting up an iPod Touch Once you power on your device, you will be required to set up you iPod Touch, whether new or second hand. Setting up your phone enables you to synchronize your music from iTunes to your device to take wherever you go. Here are the steps to follow. 1. When you switch on the phone, a ‘hello’ message will pop on the screen. Swipe the screen from left to right to begin the start-up process. If you are not the first owner, you will have to go to settings, genera, reset, and then tap ‘Erase all Content and Settings, then restart the phone again.

2. The next step involves choosing you location. The primary language is what the iPod’s interface will be displayed. If you are intending to travel, chose your mother country as your location since iTunes depends on your country.
3. Connect you device to a wireless network. Depending Wi-Fi on the network availability on your location, you will provide with a list of networks within your range. Choose yours and enter the password.

4. After connecting you phone to a good network, you will be prompted to tor restore you settings from a backup (either iCloud or phone), or set up your device as new phone. Assuming it is your first time using an Apple phone tap the ‘Set Up as New iPod’. You will prompted to create Apple ID. This is what you are going to use in all your Apple devices. The ID enables you to access iCloud. The latter enables you to make purchases from App stress and iTunes. Accept the terms and conditions.

5. Lastly, you may choose to use or not to use iCloud. This is a very important feature as it enables you to enables you to back up applications and settings to the cloud. In addition, the device will allow you to restore your device quite easily in case something bad happens. Moreover, this feature allows you to re-download iTunes purchases as well as accessing school notes stored in the cloud.
Synchronizing your iPod Touch with iTunes ITunes is an app used for playing and organizing media content. It as a user-friendly interface that can be used by persons of 5 years and above. iPod Touch works together with the application to synchronize videos, music and other files. Students can also use iTunes store to download free academic contents such as audiobooks, speeches and more. Further, children can access full-length movies, TV shows that be downloaded and stored in a CD. With iTunes, one can create own playlist that automatically update based on the criteria you chooses. There are two ways in which you can synchronize your device with the iTunes; wife or use of a USB cable. In this case, I will show you how to use the cable, as both methods are similar. Here are the few steps to follow to have iTunes in your iPod Touch. 1. The first thing you do is to connect your device to your desktop computer using the USB cable that came with you device. Assuming you already have iTunes app installed in your

computer (you can easily download the app if it is not installed), open iTunes. Note the app might launch automatically whenever the iPod is connected.
2. Click on the iPhone Touch icon on your computer. It is located in the upper eft corner if the iTunes app window.
3. After clicking the phone icon, you will see a list of items to synchronize as indicated below. You should check contents to synchronize depending on the space in your phone. In addition, all the apps installed in your computer will synchronize automatically.

4. When done, click on the apply button in the lower right corner. By doing so, you save the synchronization options you have just selected.
5. The next step is synchronizing the contents. Any media purchased on your device will appear in your iTunes library. In addition, if you subscribed at iCloud earlier in purchased media will appear in your ‘purchased’ play list.

6. Disconnect your iPhone from the desktop computer. Open the video app on your iPod Touch. The media will be displayed in the app for playback. 7.
