AWEA Monitor Installation Guide

Chapter 1: Preparing to install AWEA Monitor System Requirement AWEA Monitor installation on a Windows server requires the following: -

2.4 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon MP processor or greater

-

1 GB RAM or greater

-

1 GB free disk space or greater

Operating system -

Windows 2000 Server with SP 4 and IIS 5

-

Windows 2003 Server with SP 1 or R2 and IIS 6

-

Windows XP Professional with SP2

Tech Note: AWEA Monitor is tested to only support 32-bit systems.

Web Server -

AWEA Monitor requires a web server as part of its functionality.

-

Microsoft IIS 5, 6—the web server must be installed and running before installing AWEA Monitor

Tech Note: for IIS 6, please make sure ASP supported

Database -

AWEA Monitor will install a Microsoft SQL server 2005 Express for AWEA Monitor use.

Others AWEA Monitor installation on a Windows server requires the following: -

Microsoft Windows Installer

Chapter 2: Installing AWEA Monitor 1.

Log into the server as a Windows server administrator.

To start the AWEA Monitor installation i.

Insert the AWEA Monitor CD-ROM into the server CD-ROM drive. The AWEA Monitor setup should start automatically. If you have disabled AutoRun, double-click autorun.exe in the CD root directory. The AWEA Monitor Install Menu displays

ii.

Read the End-User License agreement carefully.

iii.

Tick “I accept the terms of the License Agreement” if agree with agreement and process the installation.

iv.

Click “Next”

Click here to change the installation path of AWEA Monitor

Click “Install” to continues

vi.

The system will check for the environment, click “Yes” to continues

vii.

The system will extract the setup files to temp folder for setup use

After extracting files, the system will install the SQL server 2005 Express

Click “Yes” if you want to create desktop shortcut of AWEA Monitor

Click confirm to finish the installation and the AWEA Monitor home page will auto open

The AWEA Monitor home page will appear after installation success.

Login by username “admin” and password “x-admin” to enter the AWEA Monitor
