The aim of this study was to determine the effect of a training program based on a creative problem solving model (CPS) on development of metacognitive skills in Mathematics for Ninth Grade Students in Jordan. The study subjects were 86 female ninth grade students from Kufranjah Secondary comprehensive school of Ajloun Educational Directorate. They were randomly assigned to a control and experimental groups. The experimental group consisted of 43 students who underwent a four week training program.
