Armor Conversion Modifications / Alterations Five sided armoring of driver and passenger compartments to provide protection against 7.62x51mm, M80 Nato Ball ammunition (level CEN B6), at zero degree obliquity angle. In accordance with testing procedures utilized by U.S. testing certification procedures. Construction design integrates opaque and transparent materials and is structurally designed to with stand and balance structural loads and offers complete 100% protection. Floor is fitted with a blast protection to protect occupants against fragmentation from simultaneous detonation of two DM-51 German ordnance hand grenades or equivalent. The unique engineering and construction of the armor plate design utilized in the vehicle allows the weight of the door to be transmitted directly onto the modified structure. The design distributes weight in such a way as to allow the use of OEM hinge components without the risk of excess stresses due to the added door weight. Vehicle’s armor plates are stitch-welded using high-intensity MIG welders. The above process ensures the structural integrity is uncompromised by thermal and chemical variations of the material. The interior frame, constructed of ballistic grade steel, provides overlap and backup protection for the large-surface principal impact areas such as the doors and windows. It also reinforces the structural integrity of the pillars and other areas that are typically ignored or poorly armored by other manufacturers. Vehicle armoring constructed in such a way as to ensure that a projectile following a linear or angled path shall not enter the vehicle’s interior without contacting the armor material. In addition to this, the possibility of a projectile entering the vehicle’s interior due to a ricochet from the armor shall also be minimized. Rear bulk head with swing door, 39 mm view glass and one gun port without disrupting the original manufacturer’s appearance.

Floor is fitted with a blast protection to protect occupants against fragmentation from simultaneous detonation of 2 DM-51 German ordnance hand grenades or equivalent. Armoring is included on kick panels, Front fenders, rear wheel wells, firewall, door pillars and posts The unique engineering and construction of the armor plate design utilized in the vehicle allows the weight of the door to be transmitted directly onto the modified structure. The design distributes weight in such a way as to minimize the stress on the modified hinge components without the risk of excess stresses due to the added door weight. Vehicle’s armor plates are stitch-welded using high-intensity MIG welders. The above process ensures the structural integrity is uncompromised by thermal and chemical variations of the material. Certain materials and installation techniques designed by Streit Security Vehicles, FZE are used which permit a significant reduction in cost to the client while maintaining structural integrity and ballistic resistance level. The interior frame, constructed of ballistic grade steel, provides overlap and backup protection for the large-surface principal impact areas such as the doors and windows. The Urban Assault Vehicle the Spartan APC, which has been designed to serve as an armored response unit and safety transport for those of our users with a requirement to operate in tight urban streets, as well as be suited for use as a highway transport and convoy escort vehicle. The dual-purpose nature of this vehicle makes it an excellent choice for those users whose missions may change from one day to another and ensures that their mission requirements can be fulfilled without the need to change vehicle platforms. Therefore, the Spartan APC is not only the right choice from an operational standpoint, but is also a cost effective solution to changing needs in operational situations. Unlike an armored commercial vehicle such as the Land Cruiser or Suburban, the Spartan APC is designed for and fully capable of returning fire in a combat situation, making it an excellent fighting platform This vehicle is built with combat procedures and military application vehicle styling in mind, and is extremely effective in protecting convoy vehicles which are transporting principles. However, when needed strictly for patrol, or for use in tight urban areas where combat vehicles are normally not effective, the Spartan APC is designed to be as easily maneuverable as any armored conversion vehicle, and has the commercial vehicle handling and acceleration capabilities which are so lacking in a military-style convoy escort vehicle. Armored to protect against B6/NIJ level 3 assault weapons, and designed to withstand underbody blast from light antipersonnel mines and grenades, the Spartan APC is the ideal vehicle for any client who has a need for versatility, operational adjustment and combat readiness, all in a single, cost-effective and easy-to drive platform.
