Hyper Terminal

Setting up Hypertminal 1. Connect the phone to your pc with the cable. 2. All Programs-> Accessories->Communications->Hyperterminal 3. Next it will ask you for which location you are in and the pincode. Just give something for eg. India and pincode as 560086 3. Then it will display you the following screen probably , Just select No option and continue

4. Then you will get the following screen

Enter any name and then choose ok 5. It will display the following screen

6. Select the LG USB modem from the drop down menu for Connect using option in above screen. Select the COM Port of the LG USB Modem. 7. After this you will get a console window at the bottom of which it should display connected if the set up is proper. 8. In the console window type command at. OK should get displayed after that. 9. To check the set up for sending sms message check the following at commands 10. at+csca? This should display +CSCA: "" This means that the service center address is not set. And this you need to check in the phone under text message settings. 11. at+csca="+393359609600",145 This should display OK 12. at+cmgs="+393357713013",145 . Give this command and in the double quotes specify the phone number to which you need to send the SMS. It should display > 13. After this type the SMS message in text format for eg “hello” and then do CTRL Z 14. > hello +CMGS: 51

15. After this the SMS would be sent to the handset 16. Now follow similar steps in addition to the following to set a dcs value that will contain the SMS class 17. at+csmp=49,167,0, specify the value of dcs between < > symbols in decimal. Give this command before you set the phone number to which you need to send the sms. 18. For eg. Given cmd at+csmp=49,167,0,0 This will send class 0 SMS to the handset. 19. Similarly you need to give the dcs value for different SMS class. For normal message. At OK At+csca?
