How to read flash data from the Fortec Star LifeTime receiver using a JTAG. 1 – Building a JTAG You can use Buffered JTAG, or Simple JTAG. For our HowTo, we use a Simple JTAG. You need: -

5 resistors 100Ohms 1 DB25 Male 6” cable

2 – Connecting the JTAG to the FS LifeTime

3 – Running JKeys - Plug the JTAG to you Parallel Port - Power On the receiver - Run program First screen:

On the IRD Info frame, select FS-LifeTime

You can use Development Panel to Read or FlashPrograming

The first time, JKeys ask you for unplug and plug the FS Receiver

If you want to read the Channel Flash

Otherwise, you can use the Flash Programing tool.

Select Read and Save you TSOP File
