Founders: Soichiro Honda & Takeo Fujisawa. • Started as an Engine making company and now is the World’s largest Engine manufacturer. Pioneering in the field of : Automobile Motorcycles Power Products Technical Products Honda jets ASIMO. • Has 120 Manufacturing facilities in 29 countries and employees 120,600 people worldwide. • In India Honda Siel Cars was incorporated in 1995 as a joint venture between Honda japan and Siel Ltd a Siddharth Shriram Group Company .

Fostering children traffic safety: In May 2007 Honda Brazil initiated a new program to foster children traffic safety.



Food and fun for disadvantaged children: In this program Honda associates provided disadvantaged children with Food ,Entertainment and Educational opportunities.



Solitary workshop: Every month Honda associates make donations to fund workshops that offer children with opportunities to learn about workshops and take part in afforstration.

A MATTER OF PRINCIPLE A major part of HONDA’S compliance and ethic programs is the companies Egalitarian culture. – All employees wear a same uniform and are addressed as "associates." – All employees eat in shared cafeterias ,no private offices and signs of status ( e.g reserved parking slots). – Managers can be found on the production floor, and open-planned offices have no obvious design elements to display high ranking workstations.

The key is to promote accessibility across the company by removing physical and social barriers, thereby eliminating the natural intimidation employees often feel when they wish to speak with their managers.

Moreover, effective audits are carried out to monitor the execution status of each division

Chaired by the Compliance Officer and consists of directors and corporate officers.

→ Business Ethics Improvement Proposal Office: o

High priority on open communications.

o

Also receive suggestions related to corporate ethics issues.

o

By devising appropriate responses to suggestions received, Honda is constantly working to enhance corporate ethics.

The system is designed to ensure the protection of those who provide information, who can either use their real name or remain anonymous.

o

The Business Ethics Committee supervises the operation of the Business Ethics Improvement Proposal Line and submits status reports to the Board of Corporate Auditors.

Risk management system Each division works to address and mitigate its particular set of risks. – Honda Crisis Response Rules are designed to address company-wide crises, such as – major natural disasters. Honda has appointed a Risk Management Officer, who is a director in charge of risk – management-related initiatives. It has also established the Company-Wide Response Headquarters to address crisis – situations. Storage and management of information on execution of business by directors Documents and other information related to the execution of business by directors are stored and managed appropriately. Business audits The Audit Office is an independent supervisory department under the direct control of the President. This office audits the performance of each department and works to improve the internal auditing of affiliates. Disclosure Committee The Disclosure Committee, which consists of members of the Board of Directors, deliberates matters related to the accuracy and appropriateness of corporate information to be disclosed in business results announcements and financial reports
