Research Paper Criteria 9th Grade English Mrs. Gesualdi Description: This project is a research paper. Students will choose a topic to write about. They will conduct formal research in both the library and on their own. Students will write an informative essay in which they document their sources to support the topic.
Purpose: The purpose of the research paper is to introduce students to formal research. During the project students will learn how to research their topic using library and internet resources.
Criteria:
3-5 pages 5 full paragraphs minimum 7 – 10 sentences per paragraph At least 5 documented sources MLA Format Typed final copy Note cards – to be discussed in class Source cards – to be discussed in class0 All due date will be announced in class
