two cultures that’s namely Indian And Japanese.  Hero Honda is the joint venture between India’s Hero Group and Japan’s Honda Motor company.  Hero Honda is the world’s largest producer of twowheelers.  The first product of the venture was ‘CD 100’.  Every 2 motorcycle sold in the country is a Hero Honda.  Every 30 seconds ,someone in India’s buys a Hero Honda’s Top selling motorcycle ‘Splendor’.

Incorporated.  1987:- 100,000th motorcycle produced.  1991:- New motorcycle model - "CD 100 SS" introduced 5,00,000th motorcycle produced.  1994:- New motorcycle model - "Splendor" introduced 10,00,000th motorcycle produced.  2000:- "Hero Honda Passport Programme" CRM Programme launched.Largest Such type of project in the world with 30 Lakh members.  2006:- Hero Honda is the World No. 1 for the 5th year in a row

Brij Mohan Lal Munjal is the founder Director and Chairman of the Company and the $ 2.8 billion Hero Group.  Mr,Munjal Started the biz when there was moderate competition in the market, with players like Bajaj, Kinetic, Majestic and many others.  Hero Honda being a cash rich company has invested some of it’s assets in some very big companies namely BHEL Mundra Port & Sez, ICICI Bank,Siemens and REC(Total invts27.43cr).  February sales for the country’s largest motorcycle manufacturer, Hero Honda, rose 24 per cent to 329,055 units, against the 265,431 units sold in the same month last year
