1-3 Instruction for users 1. Before installing the Recovery Card, you must do something against static electricity. Please take off your jewelry, such as the wristwatch. We suggest wear the static

Please make sure that your computer meets the system requirements. 2. IF a similar product has been installed, please remove it and its driver. 3. Scan and kill viruses with anti-virus software. 4. Defrag in order to regroup the hard disk drive. 5. In diskless workstation, please set the shared files from receivers to unprotected partition. 6. A computer with the Recovery Card installed can not be the source disk of a ghost, remove any image ghosting software.

7. Go to CMOS, and set the Virus Warning as Disable.

2-3 Installation of Recovery Card 2-3-1 Software installation 1 1.) turn on the computer on.

2-3-2 Install the recovery card system driver

You must install the Recovery Card driver for Window2000/20003/NT/XP. Installing the Drivers: Run setup.exe In the driver CD in window 95/98/me/2000/NT/XP/2003.

if multi-os, you should install the drive programme to each operating system.

2-3-3 Hardware installation 3 1. Open the static package of the Recovery Card, check the card, if there is something wrong with the card, and please contact WITH US 2. We suggest you put on static proof gloves, power off the computer before you open the computer. 3. Select a free PCI slot and insert the Recovery Card securely and correctly. 4. START YOUR COMPUTER,AND THE RECOVERY CARD WOULD BE INSTALLED AUTOMATIC

ATTENTION After plugging recovery Card and rebooting the computer, if it hasn’t been

checked (no installation figure appears), pleas do as following:

Turn off your computer and try plugging the recovery Card into another expansion slot ,OR DO SOME CLEAN TO THE GOLDEN FINGERS OF THE RECOVERRY CARDS 2-4 Operation of Recovery Card when you seen the menu pic mentioned below,it show your computer automatic install the recovery card drive software

When the computer reboots the recovery card screen will appear.

You should press F10 to enter the setting menu,the default password is

1234567.

This type of installation will guide you into the system settings interface, where you can manually set which partitions on the hard disk are protected. Meantime, the settings of data recovery modes and other advanced parameters are also available.

Chapter 3 FAQ 1) after installing the recovery cards,no see the setting menu a) you forget or miss press F10 ,you should press the F10 to enter the meun. b) It may be prohibited by CMOS. In the Boot Sequence option in CMOS, you can set the 1st boot device as Network or LAN, the 2nd as IDE hard disk, then save it and try again after a restart. c) Unsuccessful connection . turn off your computer and try plugging the recovery Card into another expansion slot ,OR DO SOME CLEAN TO THE GOLDEN FINGERS OF THE recovery card 2) In the following two cases: Plug the recoveryCard into the expansion slot and the

recoveryCard hasn’t been yet installed or even it has been installed, the operating system fails to boot up. Why? It is because that the Virus option in CMOS is set as Enable, please set it as Disable 3) Sometimes, I can see that HD RECOVERY CARD NOT FOUND, PRESS ANY KEY TO REBOOT. Why? A:)Uninstalling the HD recovery card in wrong procedure. For example, taking out the card before uninstalling it. B:) In the Boot sequence option in CMOS, the 1st boot device is not set as Network or LAN. C:) connection failure,change another slot 4) Why does the hint “ Hard Disk failed!” prompt? A:If the IDE channel in CMOS has been turned off, the recoveryCard will give the above hint. At this time, press Ctrl + Home to forcibly clear CMOS, press other keys to ignore and continue. After clearing CMOS and restarting, the computer shall indicate CMOS verification is wrong and shall auto turn on the IDE channel. Press F1 to ignore it, the recoveryCard shall really restore CMOS data.
