TRAINING SUBSEA PIPELINE AND SLURRY TRANSPORTATION TECHNOLOGY
TRAINING DESCRIPTION Offshore pipelines play very significant roles in transporting oil and gas, or slurry from the exploitation fields to processing plants and down to the customers. Indonesia, has literally thousands km of subsea pipelines and, in the next decades, the lines will even be longer due to constant increasing demand, not only for domestic need but also for export, especially due to South East Asian gas growing market. To cope with this challenge, sub sea pipeline engineering has to gradually be mastered. That’s means various engineering and technological aspects have to be understood in order to built, operate, and maintain the line safely and profitably.
TRAINING OBJECTIVES Based on the reasons above, the training will be held for the following purposes : 1. To introduce the concept of subsea pipeline engineering. 2. To provide the trainee with basic design rules related to materials, mechanical and structural concept design. 3. To understand the various type of damage mechanism leading to pipeline failure. 4. To provide the trainee basic knowledge regarding the risk & reliability and mechanical integrity of sub sea pipeline
BENEFIT GAINED FROM THE TRAINING 1. Understand the basic knowledge of subsea pipeline engineering 2. Able to perform conceptual design 3. Able to deal with the risk associated with various steps in pipeline construction and operation
