WHEN IS IT USED? • It is used to express an action to be done in the future time. There are two ways to create a future in English, the first is to use the word ”Will” before the verb:
• Subject … Auxiliar will … infinitive Verb … Complement • Example: I will run tomorrow – Yo correré mañana
AFFIRMATIVE FORM • The second is to use “Going to” before the verb, but also, to put before "going to" the verb to be conjugated.
• Subject… Verb To be… Going to… infinitive verb…complement • Example: I am going to run tomorrow- Yo voy a corer mañana
• The first form is generally used when it is an action that is decided at the moment and for promises, while the second is more related to plans and intentions.
NEGATIVE FORM • For its negative form simply "not" or in its case the abbreviation "won't" is added, and for the case of “going to” only it is added “not”
• I will not help you or I won´t help you • I am not going to help you
INTERROGATIVE FORM
• Will…Subject…Infinitive verb… ? • Example: Will you run tomorrow? – Irás a correr mañana?
