FUNCTION OF
BMOH / MOPHC
CURATIVE 1. Provide out-door & indoor services , manage emergencies , attend referred cases & also refer cases to higher levels . 2. Organize lab services . 3. Out-break control. 4. Advice the his health team on health topics .
PUBLIC HEALTH – PREVENTIVE & PROMOTIVE 1. Tour program → cover all public health services including family planning . 2. Organize tubectomy & vasectomy camps .

Keep accounts & records. Make requisition for supplies --- drugs ( OCP, ORT, Chloroquine ..), vaccines , condoms and ensure the stock is adequate . Receive reports from sub-centers, compile and submit to dist. Med & Health Officer . Supervise the work health staffs . Visit sub-centers to provide guidance and also to supervise . Organize training for Anganwadi workers , ASHA , Dais . Conduct monthly meetings . Co-ordinate & cooperate with NGO or other private agencies working in that area .

NATIONAL HEALTH PROGRAMMES --- ensure proper implementation in his area . In particular → full immunization coverage – cold chain facilities and IMNCI .
